There are many people who “fear” loneliness....so that ‘fear’ is not sufficient to warrant taking ones life.

If “fear” is what is driving their decision then it's definitely not of God....but the other playing with their minds and hearts. So what if the kids are heartless and not willing to take them in...that's becoming the standard anymore.... We all need to determine ahead of time how we will sustain ourselves when we reach the point we may not be able to do so without assistance.

I;m not for this manner of taking ones life because of not wanting to be alone...it is often in times we ARE alone that God either reaches us or enhances our relationship with Him..He becomes are caretaker and provider...with hands that are willing to help..and it may very well not be family at all.

Their children would be wise to remember this.....“Now if anyone does not provide for his own relatives, and especially for his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever” (1 Timothy 5:8).

God has not given us a spirit of fearfulness, but one of power, love, and sound judgment” (2 Timothy 1:7).

God says....I will be the same until [your] old age, and I will bear [you] up when you turn gray. I have made [you], and I will carry [you]; I will bear and save [you]” (Isaiah 46:3-4).

“If any believing woman has widows, she should help them, and the church should not be burdened, so that it can help those who are genuinely widows” (1 Timothy 5:16).
