actually get money back, if they pay a few hundred in taxes.
I lived in Knonau, in the same Canton but on the South, near Zug. I had moved once after taking a job in Baden and temporarily living near there while finding a place nearer one of the international schools. Went through an amazing bureaucratic review to do that move from one Canton to another, had to get clearances from the police and other authorities to show that I hadn’t had any unpaid debts, had not been unemployed, etc.... The Swiss can reject your move even if you have a willing landlord. Problem is that once you are in place, like these people, hard to do anything.

Untrue. My sister (a SAHM) had no income last year due to a divorce. Nothing to report = nothing to file = no child tax credit. Since I had paid mortgage & necessities, I was able to claim her and the kids with me as head of household.

A lot of illegals have multiple ID’s. They need them, so they can afford to drive drive a Cadillac Escalade.
