Attorney General Eric Holder is officially announcing today that he is stepping down from his post, according to multiple reports. Holder has been in office for over five and a half years, and is one of President Obama's original cabinet members.
NPR reports that Holder will be leaving office as soon as his successor is in place, which could take as long as into early next year. Holder is the fourth longest serving AG in U.S. history.
Moments after the NPR story broke, Nancy Pelosi confirmed the report to a meeting of the Congressional Black Caucus, eliciting outcries of dismay from those in attendance and protestations like "that is so bad" and "that is a shock."
Holder has been surrounded by controversy during his tenure, including over the Fast and Furious scandal, the failure to prosecute New Black Panthers for voter intimidation, and perhaps the most egregious, the Nixon-esque investigation of members of the press. As the AP reported at the time:

The damage has been done. The stink of Holder will take decades to remove.
To avoid prosecution he’ll need to run for office or get appointed to the Supreme Court. Hold on to your hats.

Someone worse will be appointed as AG, Ginsberg will retire and Reid will drop the nuclear option on Supreme Court nominees.
Justice Holder can do even more damage.
It will be a difficult task for Obama to find a worse person to appoint as Attorney General but we know he will do his best.
Did she also announce it to the Congressional White Caucus?

I guess the iconic Obizmo UN annoucement about Ferguson MO did Holder in.The supposed president of the United States made it so that Officer Wilson can never have genuine due process. Holder can’t stretch to give legitimate cover to fascist Obama’s pronouncing Officer Wilson guilty at the United Nations.
Holder should have resigned the first day he took office and pronounced that White America was racist, after White America elected a “black” president. Holder should have been turfed from the get go.
Holder's resignation announced on the same day just a coincidence? I don't think so.
Just because he is leaving (like next year) does not mean all of the rot just magically goes away.
And unless we are as stupid as the left pretends, then why on Earth would we just stay home because he is stepping down? Like what is that going to do?
The next AG appointment will be either Hispanic or homosexual. That is my prediction.
Why not homosexual AND Hispanic AND female or transgender?
