"The Rush Limbaugh Show" on Wednesday accused a "small number of hardcore political activists" and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee of being behind a two-year-old Stop Rush protest that amounts to "blackmail" of small business people who advertise with the high-profile conservative talk-show host.
In a release issued on Businesswire.com, Limbaughs show fired back at the smear campaign against him: The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committees newest email spam, asking their recipients to sign a petition calling for sponsors to end their relationship with The Rush Limbaugh Show, is based on the two-year old Stop Rush political protest as its inspiration. After an investigation, The Rush Limbaugh Show has discovered a far darker story to Stop Rush, and is today releasing the hidden story of the people and motives behind the Stop Rush conspiracy.
Limbaugh show spokesman Brian Glicklich said in a post on the show's website that "a small number of politically motivated out-of-state activists are distributing target lists indiscriminately, and annoying small businesses until they give up the advertising deals that help them grow, or risk being unable to conduct business at all."

"It's not even activism it's blackmail," he said.
The Limbaugh show's website called the number of people behind the protest "remarkably tiny," alleging just 10 Twitter users account for almost 70 percent of all Stop Rush tweets to advertisers, "amplified by illicit software."

The show charges the use of such equipment violates Twitter rules.
"They send barrages of thousands of messages through this software until advertisers are bullied and harassed into cancellation," the show said.
Despite claims that a significant grassroots movement opposes Limbaugh and his show advertisers, Limbaughs team says its a sham.
RICO.
I thought this was newsworthy because it exposes a new (to me) technique by which a small number of leftists can make an impression they are a huge groundswell.
I think this should get above the fold news coverage because not only does it expose the deceit of the left but it can educate businesses and people to doubt whether a big ‘grass roots’ movement is real or is it just a few people with software that they use to deceive.

Whataya wanna bet someone is using taxpayer resources to fund this effort?
it was effective every day, because we attached real financial consequences to what he was doing.”

Why aren’t they in Jail awaiting Trial??
The majority of the American electorate is conservative so I don’t think software ‘enhancement’ is warranted.
However, whatever method Rush’s people used to ferret out the few leftists that are behind the scam should be studied and replicated by conservative media to report on whether issues are ‘enhanced’ by sham technology.
Also Twitter should crack down on these people and anyone else that pulls this kind of sham.
Conservative media for example could investigate any news report that purports to stem from a large segment of voters and then use Rush’s investigatory technique to see if it’s a handful of leftists scamming the public.
Not going to bet against that, because I am sure what you say is true.
One of the scammers was a professor at Kent State University using their university account. So there’s the evidence right there on its face.
At what stage does this effort to coerce, intimidate, defraud become interstate racketeering?
Yep.
Could apply this to polling data as well!
“It’s okay when we do it” - Law of the Left
The Entertainment Industry has been using scripts to Astro-Turf their “stars” popularity for years. I have no idea why anyone ever buys into it. Do you REALLY think people are CRAZY about some silly new song from a former Disney kid? HA! Of course not!
The DCCC has as much chance of silencing Rush as the FED GOV disarming 90 Million Americans of the 300+ million weapons. Aint’ going to happen.
Good point. Techniques from non-credible entertainment tabloid journalism may have found ways into the political sphere.
If I owned a small business and was advertising on Rush, I would tell this left-wing mental cases to go do something disgusting to the crack heads who gave birth to them.
I would then inform these cretins that my advertising on Rush’s show would double, effective immediately.
Kidding aside, they DO believe that,
because they inherently assume that their motives are “good”.
Again, it’s another replacement for God Think of Romans 8:28 twisted into the Humanist religion:
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
The left knows that all things they do are for the “greater good” because they’ve defined themselves as gods.
It hit me recently that there are a lot more PSA ads on during Rush’s show. Maybe these attacks are working. That would be alarming.
