The It Girl Of Climate Change Doesn't Get It
Globe And Mail ^ | 23 September 2014 | Margaret Wente

Posted on 09/24/2014 1:29:39 PM PDT by IBD editorial writer

Naomi Klein is by all accounts a wonderful person – warm, low-key, modest, committed and enormously hard-working. She also looks terrific in a crisp white shirt, which is what she wore for a recent photo shoot for Vogue. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Vogue is interested in fashionable intellectuals, and right now there’s no intellectual more fashionable than Ms. Klein. She told Vogue that her new book, This Changes Everything, is “a book about climate change for people who don’t read books about climate change.”

It's nice to know that there are "intellectuals" like Naomi out there looking out for us who are "ignorant" and will fall for a hoax and scam every time.

The sun is a nuclear furnace sitting about 93 million miles give or take. It’s been cooking on the Earth for several billion years so by now we should be as hot as a fresh pizza. But we’re not. Then too, what ended the last ice age? What started it.

“a book about climate change for people who don’t read books about climate change.”

Well thank you, Naomi Klein, that makes it real easy for me!

I always find it interesting that the so call “progressives” want all of us common folk to start riding around in rickshaws. Sounds regressive to me.

Also, if not for global climate change I would have grown up in the Finger Glaciers rather than the Finger Lakes.

Here’s the issue in a nutshell:

You’re a good person if you want to save the earth from Climate Change.
You’re a bad person if you do not.

Nothing more.

I heard her on KPFA the other morning. I did not immediately know it was her. I thought they were interviewing some Berkeley undergrad. She had the patter down, but the ideas she was expressing were dumb, dumb, dumb.

Naomi Klein's shirt is smarter than her if she believes in man-made Climate Change.

Maybe someone could sell her the Brooklyn Bridge so she won't have enough money to travel about and spew her extreme ignorance

There’s no point in asking, you’ll get no reply
Oh just remember I don’t decide
I got no reason it’s all too much
You’ll always find us out to lunch

Oh we’re so pretty
Oh so pretty
we’re vacant
Oh we’re so pretty
Oh so pretty
A vacant

Don’t ask us to attend ‘cos we’re not all there
Oh don’t pretend ‘cos I don’t care
I don’t believe illusions ‘cos too much is real
So stop you’re cheap comment ‘cos we know what we feel

An “It” girl is she?

I thought Naomi Klein was just another vicious communist.

When I was a kid, the person who stayed “It” the longest was always the slowest in the group.

I have read her writing and it is drivel. Painful drivel. She is billed as a younger, hipper Noam Chomsky.

It is curious. The self proclaimed intellectuals fear we will kill the planet when, in fact, we probably couldn’t accomplish much if we went at it with a hammer but they are completely unconcerned about Global Financial Collapse which is something we probably CAN do and the Kenyan Klown’s economy appears to be designed to guarantee.

Reading Noam Chomsky is alot like passing a bladder stone.
Writhing, pulsing anguish, and in the end producing nothing of use to anyone.
This lady?
Getting the silver rod treatment for an std while upbeat hip music floods the room.
