“Unless,” the neurosurgeon and conservative activist adds in a caveat during his interview with Hugh Hewitt, “the American people indicate in November that they like big government intervention in every part of their lives.” What are the odds of that happening? Bernie Sanders isn’t running for re-election to the Senate, and neither is Harry Reid, who looks more likely than not to become the Minority Leader in January. So yeah, Ben Carson is running for President, QED:
Is this to be taken seriously? This interview was significant enough for Politico to pick it up today. Kendall Breitman offered a few quotes from the interview, adding only a mention that Carson finished sixth in the CPAC straw poll this year.
Here is Carson’s response on the 2016 question:
HH: Now I know you like debating. And so the question arises. Will we be seeing you on the presidential debate circuit next year that will begin, that the Republicans are organizing for those who want the nomination of the party?
BC: I think the chances are reasonably good of that happening. Im waiting, you know, obviously, for a few more months. I want to make sure that its clearly something my fellow Americans want me to do. And Im also waiting to see what the results are in November, because if the people indicate that they truly do want a nation that is for, of and by the people, then I, along with I hope many other people, would be willing to give it everything we possibly have.

All that while siphoning away votes from more viable conservative candidates.
Oh boy, more affirmative action amateur hour.

How about HHS Secretary? He can dismantle Obamacare.
I really wish he wouldn’t do this. These vanity candidacies for president are a distraction and all this guy is going to do is get himself burned by the MSM.
He should run for a lower office first and there are so very many he could chose from.
I just never think people who do this are serious, esp. people who don’t really have any experience in running large organizations, unlike say, Dwight Eisenhower.
In the instance of TExAs © we could elect a subtable replacement. No T.C. mind you, that would be a pretty tall order, but suitable.
Hopefully Utah could do the same.
.
You do understand there is no way in hell the GOP will ever allow Cruz to appear on the Republican ticket, don’t you?
Thx
You are welcome my FRiend. :-)
The Magic 8 Ball?
I certainly hope he doesn’t implode like Herman Cain did.
I bet Gloria Allred is already starting an opposition research team on him...
carson sounds great...
“Ben endorsed the current Republican Senate candidate in Oregon. She is now running ads showing her gay marraige endorsers. Pure Rino. Sorry Ben, you lost my vote.”
Palin is campaigning for the RINO Roberts in Kansas down on her too?
That then leaves a 3rd party run, which will split the Pub/independent vote, giving Hillary the presidency.
Thanks a lot Carson.
Carson seems like a smart, sensible, moral man. What he doesn't seem like is a man who can deal effectively with the likes of Reid, Pelosi, McConnell, Boehner, & all the other political weasels of WDC. I don't think he can handle the 24/7/365 deceptions of the politicians. I don't think he can make a difference under such circumstances.
Conservatives need a bulldog such a Trey Gowdy or Jeff Sessions to effectively counter the entrenched Liberals & RINOs; someone that Putin & the like will rightly fear. Doctor Carson would be a good person to dismantle Obamacare & HHS in such an administration.
Carson endorsed the Oregon Rino in the primary, when she was running against a good conseervative. Once she won, she turned hard left.
Unfortunately...yes, I do realize that the GOP will fight very hard to stop any conservative from reaching the ticket.
But.....as cynical as I am, I still believe in the American people. We will see.
Don’t run. You will merely siphon off votes needed to win.
I was saving Gowdy for AG! Just so he can show how it’s done. Then he can be president if he wants.
