Russia will increase its Black Sea fleet with more than 80 new warships by 2020 and will complete a second naval base for the fleet near the city of Novorossiysk by 2016, its commander said on Tuesday.

2. Stop blaming the victim.
3. If Ukraine isn’t the victim, then why would you be worried about Russia builing up its Black Sea Fleet?
4. Who will the phantom fleet be aimed at, as the Crimea is already in Russian hands? Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, or Georgia? Are thy also fascists in need of taming?
5. The Black Sea is a crappy choice to position a large fleet of ships, unless that is your only coastline.

Dude, stop wetting yourself every time someone in Russia gets ideas above their station. It’s getting embarrassing.
Russia is pretty good at talking about modernizing and rebuilding their military. It’s the doing bit that lets them down. It’s been like that since the 90’s and their navy is still made up mainly of rust buckets from the 80’s.
Maybe buy the used Zodiac and RHIB boats and add crew served MG.
The Russians may buy them from the French—My bet these are all small craft—nothing bigger than a destroyer—a few Gunboats do not a navy make.

And as for a topic I think an idea of extensive naval build-up there isn’t really smart. 80 ships in a Black Sea would make it resemble a shopping mall parking.
And let’s remember a choking point in Bosphorus.
