The senior senator who once told New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand not to lose "too much weight" because he liked his girls "chubby" was the late Hawaii Sen. Daniel K. Inouye, the New York Times reports. In a memoir published earlier this month, Gillibrand revealed that some of her male colleagues in Congress felt free to comment about her weight. “Don’t lose too much weight now," one "of my favorite older members of the Senate" told her, squeezing her waist. "I like my girls chubby!”

Somembody should ask Senator Gillibrand which hand Senator Inouye used to grope her. There is a better than even chance that she would say it was his Right.
She didn’t go back, she didn’t kick out the most powerful man in Hawaii from her shop, if she owned the shop.

After groping Senator Gillibrand, Inouye then said
“MY ANACONDA DON’T WANT NONE UNLESS YOU GOT BUNS, HUN!”
We knew he wasn’t a Republican—or his name would have come out much earlier.
Men say idiotic things to women all the time. One of the most common is for older men, even in professional settings, to joke about women’s age—suggesting surprise that a middle-aged woman isn’t, say, 23, when the joke is that she obviously isn’t. Somehow they have it in their mind that there is something even vaguely complimentary about such drivel.
Inouye was probably on the high side of 85 and half senile when he said that. Yet ANOTHER good reason to have a mandatory Senate retirement age.
He must have absolutely adored Mary Landrieu.
