I don't know how the polling looks in MS., but I think you can see the disgust of conservatives in other places. Roberts in KS. is in trouble. McConnell will probably win, but he's not running away with it.
Rove last week wrote an article about how the Pubs might not win the Senate.
I think the GOPe drank too much of their own Kool-Aid. They figured they could beat up the base and we would still come out for them. I know I won't.
The beatings will continue until morale improves.
The key thing to remember here, the essential difference between Tea Party Conservatives and the ‘moderate’ GOP Establishment, the prime distinguishing mark that separates the two is:
Tea Party candidates run on issues,
whereas,
GOP Establishment candidates use democrat tactics.
The outcome is NOT ‘may the best candidate win’. The outcome is ‘may the candidate who better lies and cheats win’. This latter outcome is standard thinking for democrats.
Democrat atrocities include but are not limited to:
* Large scale vote fraud in myriad forms
* Race-baiting
* Circulating outrageous lies about their opponents
* Controlling election officials to tilt election results
* Intimidation by union thugs
Cochran and Barbour are former democrats and switched to the GOP when they saw the South becoming republican under the Reagan Revolution. Now they are back at acting like democrats. They have no principle philosophy other than money and power to get more money from government.
Cochran and Barbour committed all of the above atrocities and more to secure a US Senate seat that will continue to serve as a federal money machine for themselves and their gangs. The Export-Import Bank is one example by which the Cochran and Barbour gangs skim tens of millions for themselves.
I can only speak for me, but I haven’t moved an iota since all this broke. I still won’t vote for Cochran.
