Employers won’t hire her. She’s been berated with epithets like “dirty Jew.” Federal agents have guarded her house because of death threats. And she’s spent hundreds of thousands of dollars defending herself against accusations she orchestrated a coverup in a scandal that has come to represent everything Americans hate about the IRS.
Lois Lerner is toxic — and she knows it. But she refuses to recede into anonymity or beg for forgiveness for her role in the IRS tea party-targeting scandal. “I didn’t do anything wrong,” Lerner said in her first press interview since the scandal broke 16 months ago. “I’m proud of my career and the job I did for this country.”
Lerner, who sat down with POLITICO in an exclusive two-hour session, has been painted in one dimension: as a powerful bureaucrat scheming with the Obama administration to cripple right-leaning nonprofits. Interviews with about 20 of her colleagues, friends and critics and a survey of emails and other IRS documents, however, reveal a much more complicated figure than the caricature she’s become in the public eye.
The portrait that emerges shows Lerner is, indeed, fierce, unapologetic and perhaps even tone-deaf when she says things that show her Democratic leanings. She had a quick temper and may have intimidated co-workers who could have helped her out of this mess. It’s easy to see how Republicans have seized on the image of a devilish figure cracking down on conservative nonprofits.
“We followed the trail where it leads, and we saw it lead to Lois Lerner,” House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) said at a hearing Thursday. “She refers with disdain to conservatives; she’s an active liberal; and it’s clear her actions were set out to be detrimental to conservatives.”

So everyone is picking on poor Lois and calling her names. She can’t find a job. Boo-freakin-hoo. First of all, I’ll bet the farm that she’s lying about people calling her a “dirty Jew.” Second, she should be happy she’s not in jail yet. She should be in jail — for a long time.
Wonder where she got those hundreds of thousands to defend herself in court? Mishandling of public funds into her own purse maybe. You know the Left would ask the same questions if she were a righty .

With as many laws as this lady has broken she should be behind bars but not so. This is telling me she may have done a little work for Republicans against Tea Party organizations also. I doubt we ever change how they do business. Dems and Republicans seem to have joined forces.
Unless and until she can provide email records she is a liar and 100 percent guilty. Until then, she should STFU.

More Lois Learner Emails are Coming!
She’s nervous..this is an attempt to shape public sympathy/support..
First, before I read this, it did not occur to me that that Ms. Lerner could be Jewish; it is not the first thing that would come to a reasonable person's mind.
Second, right-wingers tend to be Israel supporters (cf. "Ted Cruz"); it's the left that is anti-Semitic. If anyone were to call Ms. Lerner a "dirty Jew," it would not be a supporter of the Tea Party organizations that were the target of her illegal, unethical, and tyrannical actions.
I’d wager that Lerner does not belong to a temple, nor has she been inside one in decades..
What did she do to anger Hillary?
