yes absolutely. there’s no coincidence that the tesla is built in sunny perfect climate california. but there are plenty of other places in the USA from texas to florida where the temperature works for electric cars. These are places that have a lot of cars.

Well bubba, I am a Texan and have been going on 50 years now and you got it all wrong about lots of places in these parts where electric cars would be useful. Texas is hot, real hot and when you flip the switch for air conditioning in one of those cute lectric cars the useful range goes to the basement. Power required to turn an AC compressor is about 6-7 HP not counting the interior fan for circulation.

Range will almost be cut in half but when it gets cold the heaters kill range even more. So you can count any meaningful use of electric cars here a pipe dream unless it is just for momma to run to the grocery store.
