Like many candidates attacked over budgets, Thom Tillis, a Republican running for the Senate from North Carolina, responded in a recent debate by disputing his opponent’s numbers.
“Kay’s math just doesn’t add up,” he said. The Democratic incumbent, Senator Kay Hagan, seized on that small opening to claim personal offense. “I’m actually insulted,” she declared. “I understand math.”
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, counting heavily on women to turn out across the country, accused Mr. Tillis of “mansplaining” and “condescension” toward his female adversary.

He should just clarify by explaining that he doesn’t think she’s bad in math - his actual point is that he thinks she’s good in math and that she’s a bald-faced liar about her numbers.
Is that to say that she understood the math...the REAL math...of OsamaObamaCare and voted for it anyway? We all *know* that she understood that she was exempt from the Act when she voted ""aye".

See, that's the problem. He can't win. If he is nice to her he is condescending, and if he tough with her he's attacking a woman. That is the kind of trap that liberals set up on every issue. Wish there was a way around it.

Tillis sucks as a candidate (he’s yet to really go after Hagan on her indefensible vote for the Gang of Eight immigration amnesty/surge bill), but I feel for him having to face this sort of fake outrage and pathetic demagoguery.
A better candidate might call Hagan out on her fake outrage, but as already stated, Tillis sucks.
Yes, he’s preferable to Hagan, but it’s looking less and less likely that we’ll be rid of her anytime soon.
