Ebola.

Yes, it’s tragic. But I’m not sure Obola sending troops to “fight” this virus is not just another of his manufactored crisis.

Between 600,000 and one million people die annualy of malaria. Where’s the freak-out over that?

Malaria is local, it isn’t like Sars or Ebola.

So half a million by end of year. With 50 to 90 % fatalities. Where does it go from there ?

CDC is saying this. Not sure if they are to be trusted, we shall see in October. Not sure if any of the experts have a handle on this, or if they are freaking out more than is necessary. What the heck happened to make this outbreak so much worse than all previous combined? Did the virs change, ot is it “just” that it hit several countries seemingly at once (which is odd)?

But I’m not sure Obola sending troops to “fight” this virus is not just another of his manufactored crisis.

While the administration has been letting out just enough to titilate the masses, they have been downplaying Ebola. The information released has been sufficient to keep the Enterovirus D-68 outbreaks out of the public eye (and the possible sources for a sudden widespread out break that had had only 100 or so known cases in the US since its discovery in the early '60s, one which seems to correlate with the higher numbers of imported waifs distributed after the manufactured border incursion/invasion.

When they are ready to use a panic, they'll pull the lid off Ebola and show the disease for what it is, emphasizing that it is 'unexpectedly' worse, and justifying whatever measures, no matter how draconian, to stop it.

The crisis will be suddenly in the mind of the average LIV, not the people who have been paying attention, and will be hyped by the media instead of downplayed like it is now.

If this comes to pass, it will be as soldiers from any deployed units are rotated home, so Duh-1 and his minions can blame the military for the double whammy.

Then, for the trifecta, if sufficient frenzy can be generated, quarantine, isolation, martial law, and the mid-term elections will be postponed, and the Dems can retain power despite the serious likelyhood they will lose it in November.

I really think this administration is attempting to cause alarm where none is needed. With such mass rioting (if it comes to that) then freedoms will be striped. I think St Louis, MO was a test bed to see what happens on a local scale - then such amplification with various 3rd world types being brought in (both Islamic & Christian) to stir the divide even more...all indicators point to this scenario occurring.

What the heck happened to make this outbreak so much worse than all previous combined? Did the virs change, ot is it “just” that it hit several countries seemingly at once (which is odd)?

The virus, like Marburg (the other filovirus), previously had appeared in and was pretty much confined to villages out in the bush. Because of the realtively fast time between infection and debilitation, and the time to travel far, the outbreaks ran out of people to infect and 'burned out'.

This time, it is in major population centers as well, and that means the opportunity for spread is far greater.

The virus has changed, also, with nearly 400 identified mutations at last count. Most of those won't be advantageous for the virus, but have complicated tests for determining whether people have the disease early on, or have dengue or malaria and are presenting similar symptoms.

Former protocols for personal protective equipment have proven to be insufficient for nearly 200 individual health care workers, so apparently assumptions about how the virus spreads are incorrect, fatigued personnel had lapses in biosecurity, or other factors applied which led to their infection.

Those boots on the ground can also bring Ebola.

I am not in any way a fan of the current Administration. Obama is one of the most evil people America has encountered in our history and by far the most dangerous person our country has ever faced.

However, CDC can be trusted on this and on just about everything. Their math is valid. The experts do have a handle on this, at least in terms of the known parts of the outbreak and this outbreak can only be worse than what is already known, not better. We know why this is so much worse than all previous outbreaks - it's because it reached large cities where it is now self-sustaining in the human population, while is would burn out in villages once everyone was quarantined.

It's not odd that it hit several countries all at once; we know why that happened. We know who contracted the first case (probably from eating an undercooked fruit bat in December 2013) and how it spread to others in Guinea, who brought it from Guinea (innocently) and how it spread to contacts in Sierra Leone, and who brought it from Guinea (also innocently - for commerce) and how it spread in Liberia. This is not fake, staged, terrorist inflicted, or planted by the CIA (not that you were implying those things). This is the normal progression of such a disease in poor, unsanitary urban areas. There is a coincidental outbreak of a separate strain in central Africa, but that is not surprising either. With the West Africa outbreak that has already lasted 9 months, there is always a chance of another natural outbreak, particularly with the trade disruptions and reduced availability of sanitary food.
