I guess I often forget to be grateful that butter is now $4.00/pound, that we have given up the chore of shopping for my kids’ clothes in retail stores so that I have the pleasure of garage sale shopping, and for eating beans 3 times per week instead of all that silly meat we used to eat. My kids love oatmeal every morning for breakfast rather than bacon or sausage; I must remember to remind them that all these great changes are due to him.

Well. Everyone she knows is doing LOTS better with Obama as president. Doesn’t everyone get to go on 1st class luxury vacations with someone else paying?
If “improved” means higher cost of goods, higher number of people on welfare, higher number of people out of the workforce, no change in job creation from previous administration, and less urgency in fighting terrorism ... then I’d rather have things they way they were before he took office.

The funny thing is, a liberal would be so convinced that advancing “the cause” is a good thing that
even if they were in the same situation as you (not on EBT and actually PAYING for the food your family eats),
they would think it was worth it.
