Cher, once upon a time, was a great entertainer with subdued political views.
In the past 20 years or so, she has taken a very nasty turn to the extreme hard left. She has been very hateful toward conservative thinkers and believers.
Maybe she realizes now her adopted ideology will turn on her at a moment's notice.

“Too much color on the stage,”that’s all I ever heard
“Too much color on the stage,” how I learned to hate the word
“Too much color on the stage,” she’s no good they warned
Both sides were against me since the day I was born

I think she was asking to keep the dance team diverse. Blacks are over-represented in the entertainment industry, way beyond their 15% of the population. What’s wrong with pointing out that it’s time to look for white talent?

My immigrant neighbor from New Zealand says that Cher has queer parties at her estate there.

Exactly. If she said "We need more color on the stage" and booted a blonde, there'd be no story.
Cher's an ass, but I hope she doesn't cave and settle. This case has no merit.

"Blacks are over-represented in the entertainment industry, way beyond their 15% of the population." Advertising too...and, they're 12.9% of the US population.

On twitter she’s repeatedly launched racist rants against “old white men” and no one seemed to care. She may have directed her racism the wrong way this time.

I remember a time in the early 90s when Cher backed Ross Perot and sounded like she was in the Tea Party — railing against bloated, intrusive government. I guess times change.

I saw her concert in Boston. She is still a great entertainer.
I did not think of politics for almost two hours.

Years ago there was a study where minorities were MORE likely to purchase stuff advertised with minority actors. Whites were neither more or less likely to be influenced by the race of the people in a commercial. Therefore, using different races works better for your commercials.
It’s statistical proof that whites tend not to be racist.

re: Cher. She's an incredible performer.
I ignore all the negative stuff about her because of all the good she did for breaking down stereotypes. Back in the 1960s, the Sonny and Cher Show really broke down barriers between races. She was the model of an independent, outspoken, talented, successful woman from a non-mainstream ethnic background. That show and Lucy and Desi really moved society.

If whites were racists, they would have never, eagerly, given away their country to nonwhites.
