Damn the Soviet Style, One Party American Political System

Yesterday I passed through Upstate South Carolina. Spartanburg is a very friendly, smaller city. It is not at all unusual to strike up a conversation with an absolute stranger in this generally congenial environment.

While refueling the car, I was approached by a 50ish black gentleman who commented that the United States was becoming Mexico. He said Mexican workers were everywhere and that he was an independent contractor struggling to survive. He said he likes Mexican people and they are hard workers, but they were making it impossible to earn a living. Said he worked hard all his life, and was in his work truck with various tools in the back.

He related that he bid on a house painting job for $1200. The lady said that was too much, and he dropped the price to $1000 and purchased the paint for an early start the next morning. The lady called back and said that some Mexicans had given her a better price of $800 and she was going with them. Were the Mexicans contractors here illegally? Who is checking?

My question is, why can't the GOP articulate a case for attracting working class black Americans?

They probably could if they tried, but 95% of "Blacks" wouldn't listen.

They (the GOP) are apparently with the Democrats regarding border security.

Crony Capitalists (Fascists), get along famously with each other, regardless of the party monikers they happen to select.

The GOP just is not clearly making a strong case for the American worker. Do you think they have been doing that?

True, and no. Notice that I said "vote against DemoRats", not for Republicans.

I have not seen one who would champion the black gentleman facing unfair foreign competition from illegal workers.

No, but you shouldn't. That would be (reverse) discrimination, the GOP, indeed the Democrats should champion the AMERICAN lady and gentleman facing unfair foreign competition from illegal workers.

95% chance your complainant is the direct case of his own economic uncompetitiveness because he is a racist Useful Idiot.

Is their really any difference between the Democrat or Republican position on illegal immigration?

How could the opinion writer have possibly made a case to the black gentleman to vote Republican to protect himself from illegal immigrant workers threatening his economic livelihood?

If the issue is illegal immigration, then it really wouldn’t matter whether he voted Democrat or Republican. I think that’s the OP’s point about the “one party” thing.

Consistent rejection of the (Communist) DemoRats by the American electorate since 1920 would have resulted in an America without these Socialist created problems, including immigration.

Realistically, and sadly the odds are about 20 to 1 you are correct.

Needed to have some concrete work done at home in Houston suburbs. Called five contractors whose companies are owned by American citizens and either Caucasian or Black. First question I asked was about the composition of their work crews and ALL of them are Mexicans. Seems like there is no way around it.

Yes, my point exactly. On some of the issues that would resonate most widely with the public, we are hamstrung by the traitors in our own midst.

>>I recently sat in on a panel with a lot of key officials to discuss the border situation and presented facts about the acceleration of government spending from 2010 - present which showed a clear arc from 2013 - 2014 on spending on transportation and housing services in preparation for the illegals migration into the U.S. one thing that became very apparent with these numbers was that this was clearly a calculated and pre-planned invasion that was orchestrated by factions within our own government.<<

By studying your proposed state budget you can see what the legislators are going to do next year. Lots of times there’s a large variance between talk and actions.

Please don’t flame me, but, while Mitt Romney is not a conservative he at least knows foreign relations and knows how to get rid of the illegals, force everyone to have a birth certificate to work.

Some true conservative should pick up this idea and start campaigning on it.

Already if you pay anyone over $400.00 you have to give the government a a 1099 on the person or company you give the money to. The illegals would have to start going home. At least it sounds like it would work, no body else is giving any ideas at all.

It's a lot easier to do it for $800 when you pay no income taxes, no unemployment insurance, no workman's compensation, no overtime, no liability insurance, no licensing fees, etc.

And that's before you get the free schooling for your kids, food stamps, earned income tax credit, free medical care when you go to the ER, etc.

Add it all together and I bet the Mexicans are netting far more than Americans doing the same work.

Illegals don’t have the expenses that Americans are required to have. They don’t have insurance to cover damages to your home or person. If they cause any damage, bodily harm, or death, they just skip out of town, and work their racket somewhere else.

ALL of them are Mexicans

I currently live in an area that's mainly white. I was talking to my furnace man awhile back. He's says he can't find any reliable help. The neighborhood kids he hires eventually show up drunk, or don't show up at all.

Operation Wetback II is just over the horizon.

The dummies from the CPUSA running around calling themselves “Progressives” are in for a rude awakening too.

Spent some time talking with the Black guy who did my concrete work. He said he doesn’t even try to hire young Black kids anymore because they are lazy, don’t want to do manual labor and aren’t smart enough to do anything but manual labor. Said he wasn’t raised that way and doesn’t know why parents let their kids get away without working. Interesting guy who, although a degreed engineer, gets out there on a jack hammer with the rest of them.

I’m not sure who this younger generation thinks is going to support them.
