I don’t doubt he fixed Ford but I won’t let my cardiologist, despite his great skills as a doctor, work on my Audi. I want a Governor like Scott Walker who knows the kinds of limits government should have that businesses like Ford should not have. A good Ford CEO has access to measures no president should ever have. The skill set a business CEO should have is fundamentally different from those skills a politician should have.

In your defense I can sort of agree. Years ago, I hear they asked Lee Iacocca to run for POTUS and after looking at it said no, it is too broke. Yes Mulally had greater authority and leeway as CEO to get-r-done than a POTUS has. The question then is could he live within the powers of the office and still get things done.

Perhaps. . .but the president is CEO of the country, not king (notwithstanding the current resident).

His CEO skills are very valuable and a great CEO like him can do many good things, and has done.

We are opposed to professional politicians, we wail/rail against professional politicians.

Want a CEO with great skills to make the government function. . .no we don’t.
