Jeb Bush Adviser Mike Murphy: Throwing Senate to GOP in Harry Reid's Interest

Jeb Bush adviser and GOP hack Mike Murphy thinks it may be in Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's (D-NV) interest to throw the Senate to Republicans.

In an appearance on Sunday's Meet The Press, the conservative-bashing consultant who has yet to win a presidential election and once referred to Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) as Reid's secret weapon, said if Republicans took back the Senate, it could turn into an "American idol of grievance." Todd snickered and egged Murphy on, showing nothing but contempt for conservatives.

"Harry Reid may throw the Senate," Murphy said. "You can argue it's in his interest."

If Reid wanted to throw the Senate and become Minority Leader, he would have pushed Obama to enact a massive executive amnesty before the midterms. But Obama decided not to in order to preserve the Senate for Democrats. Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, who gave Obama recommendations for executive actions, said that the administration delayed its executive amnesty to not get slaughtered at the polls like in the 1994 midterms. But Todd, who promised his viewers that he would stop the spin and hold establishment hacks and pundits to account, did not even mentions these points. Nor did he inform his viewers that Murphy advises Bush.

After "Republican" Joe Scarborough was at the the table for Todd's inaugural show, Murphy was the "Republican" on the panel this week. It seems like the best way for a Republican to get on the program is to bash conservatives and volunteer to be the show's "Brooklyn Brawler." But as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) told Todd earlier on the program, Americans on the left and the right loathe the permanent political class and the establishment press for being out of touch. Todd and his panel again proved Sanders right.

It's these types that advised Scott Brown to go liberal and Mitt Romney to keep the gloves on. They are democrat shills in the republican camps.

I agree. If the Republicans take the Senate they will need to put Harry Reid on suicide watch.

No he wouldn't. The GOP is almost certain to take the Senate and Reid knows it. Right now his goal has to be to limit to loses so that the Democrats can take it back in 2016. Obama's amnesty scheme could turn the loss into a titlewave that will make retaking it a bit harder.

Right now Reid is willing to give the GOP two years to try and accomplish something. He'll block them at every turn and try to gum up the work, same as the GOP did. And when 2016 comes around the Democrats goal is to show that even when they have the House and the Senate the Republicans don't do anything.

These stories are so asinine its not funny. So what’s the answer? Keep the government in the hands of the Democrats? Or wait for that mythical time when the public will hand the Republicans the presidency, the House and the Senate all at once? Then what will we do? Probably govern like Compassionate Conservative Bush during 2001 - 2006.

Bull.

Harry Reid is 74 years old and he would be 78 after the 2016 elections

If he loses the Senate and his power he is gone as Minority or Majority Leader. After everything he has done, he will probably resign if the Democrats lose the Senate

If he’s aging 4 years every 2, that explains a lot.

Using Murphy, that Dem consultant masquerading as a Repub, shows the depth of Jeb Bush's lack of qualifications to be Pres.Murphy and his counterparts from McCain and Mitt's runs have been inept and lost the Presidency for their candidates while collecting their millions for bad advice.

And the other side of that coin, seeing such a man working for Jeb Bush gets the Establishment all excited! It’s beyond comprehension. But when you change your point of view and realize they’re working to rebuild the old Arthur Vandenburg/Nelson Rockefeller/Bob Michael/Gerald Ford Republican Party, it all makes sense.

Apparently there are people years, dog years and reid years. Lord knows it seems like forever to me that reid has been screwing America.

Trying to turn victory into defeat.

(in truth, the country club would be defeated)

The senate gets what the house gives.
