Like the dog chasing the car, do McConnell and Boehner have any idea what to do with Congress once they have it?

some members of the democratic party have earned a crushing blow...

Some Republicans, too.

I’m think that as well. Carney’s trying to establish cred, would only really feel the need to lie in a way that benefits Dems (loyally saying the Dems were going to win). There’s no good reason for him to lie by saying the Dems will get crushed ... It benefits no one.

Also, his comments need to be viewed in relation to the other desperation measures we’re now seeing from Carney’s fellow Democrats. It’s not his comments alone, but the general pattern with them and others.

You are correct in the points you address.

I did not say the Republicans are honest, worthy, should vote, win or that doing so would improve the society, I only proffered that this was shill sandbagging by a Rat to suppress the stupid party vote.

do you really thing the Republican party (as a party) will offer up a decent ticket that you could vote for (rather than voting against the other guy)

In 2012, GOPe supported mainly one candidate..Romney. All others were self appointed. 2016 will be a repeat. If conservatives cannot unite behind one candidate against the GOPe RINO, conservatives deserve the RINO nominee.

I do not buy that; one simple reason: his political policies/goals are generally the same as Obama's.

On socialized healthcare, Romneycare is far less intrusive than Obamacare. 78 pages versus 2500 pages plus.

Romney has actually created jobs by saving failing outfits. Obama has done no such thing. The GM bailout was unnecessary. GM going bankrupt only means a better run outfit buys their infrastructure. This happens all the time in real world.

Romney was for building Keystone pipe line on a priority basis. And he was for building a fence on the border. And he was against tax increases. All these are opposite of Obama agenda and would help the economy.
Romney and Obama are both social liberals, but I am talking about economy.

I don't think well be seeing it, at least from the GOP: they are happy with [and jealously guard] their elite status.

This is a straw man argument. Like I said, GOPe usually backs ONE candidate. He/she runs against half a dozen Conservatives who fight each other till the bitter end. In 2012 if either Newt or Santorum drops out, Romney was toast. There are not enough conservative voters in the country to anoint 2 or more conservatives over a single RINO candidate. Reality is a bitch, I know.

In 2016, I see many potential candidates I prefer such as Pence, Cruz, Walker, Jindal, Kasich, Rand, etc. If more than one of them stays in the race till the bitter end against one of Jeb/Mitt/Huckster/McCain etc, conservatives deserve to be flogged because of selfishness and ego's.

Hmmm. There are no natural conservative candidates. Reluctance to run, is a great factor. Perhaps, letting the morons implode- will allow, sanity to return.
