Poll: Americans disapprove of Republican Party
MSNBC ^ | Alicia Maule

A new Washington Post-ABC poll found that 72% of Americans “strongly” disapprove of the Republican party — yet the GOP could still take control of the Senate after the upcoming midterm elections. Those seemingly disparate results likely come from a mixture of voter apathy toward Republicans winning the Senate and a 54% disapproval rating of Barack Obama’s “handling his job.”

I don’t totally disapprove of the republican party, I disapprove of the RHINO’S WITHIN the republican party. Ideally, it would be refreshing to have a party that was truly “conservative” versus what we have today. I will still vote repub PROVIDING they select someone of credibility, it may even be a Tea Party type candidate.

Has to be the only gop in distaste by Conservatives are RINOS like cochran and lamar alexander. If alexander thinks I’m voting for him in NOV, I’d not hold my breath. I voted for conservative Joe Carr in the Primary and will do so in Nov.

alexander has broken faith with the US Constitution and his own oath of 2 terms and OUT! His distaste of the Military has been noted by me. His love of his perks means more than our Military or Ret Military to him.

Reagan squandered the Reagan legacy with Sandra Day O’Connor and Anthony Kennedy.

I could get a poll that sated the same thing against dems.

it all depends on how the questions are coached and where the poll is taken.

Don't know myself. Numbers such as the 87 percent have been batted around for decades. Not certain anymore and besides is not whom votes it is whom counts the votes or does America continue to hold legitimate elections. Have to believe the same is with the 87 percent though approve of their own congressional member. Am not certain. Is sad. A few decades ago I trusted elections inside America.

I didn’t look real hard, but I couldn’t find much info on this poll. It’s a phone poll of 1,001 people, but they don’t break it out for LIKELY voters, only registered voters. Also, I don’t see a party breakdown showing the percentage of Dims and pubbies, so it’s worthless for conclusion drawing.

The Republicans are putting on a Prevent Defense, rather than an active offense, which might prevent them from winning.

Indeed, voter disgust with republicans is due to their refusal to confront evil, unconstitutional acts by the marxist/leninists. IMO

I think Ebola probably has higher approval ratings than either the Democrat or Republican party.
