Poll: Americans disapprove of Republican Party
MSNBC ^ | Alicia Maule

Posted on 09/14/2014 12:27:38 AM PDT by jonrick46

A new Washington Post-ABC poll found that 72% of Americans “strongly” disapprove of the Republican party — yet the GOP could still take control of the Senate after the upcoming midterm elections. Those seemingly disparate results likely come from a mixture of voter apathy toward Republicans winning the Senate and a 54% disapproval rating of Barack Obama’s “handling his job.”

I wonder about the wording of the poll. Is this an attempt to rev-up voter turn-out for the Democrats? This "voter apathy" will work for the party that keeps the other side apathetic and your side energized. That is a recipe for an October surprise. Hang on to your seats, FRiends.

It’s an interesting poll. If it reflected voters in November, then it’s a terrible upsetting failure for Republicans come the election. For some reason....I just don’t see this seventy-two percent being accurate, unless half of the group are illegal aliens with no right no vote, or half being in some institutional facility (mental resort).

The media produces a 100% negative association with the word “republican” for, well, since before any of us were born, and then they poll on the name and it always comes out negative.

So what?

Everybody knows the parties suck!

But everybody except many low-information pukes (and certain FReepers) know the Democrat Party sucks worse, and, therefore, one must vote for the one with an R after his name, even if he’s a total jerk!

And please do forget the Losertarians and the Constipationalists!

It qualifies it as “Republicans in Congress.” I suspect that most Republicans generally are disgusted by Republicans in Congress because they are not doing a damn thing to go after Obama and the Rats.

Consider the SOURCE, MSNBC Alicia Maule, and you'll understand.
BUT ..... I'm not very fond of the "ESTABLISHMENT REPUBLICANS" and their LINGUINE SPINED responses.
They need to "STEEL THEIR SPINES",
or better yet,
The TEA Party has the "know-how", and the GUTS to FIGHT BACK !

Not exactly an October surprise situation unless 10/10 is an attack plan by the islamists and islam. Congress overall has an approval rating of 13%. 13% approval for democrats and republicans in Congress. msnbc is being deceptive, as usual.

72% don’t like Republicans but they are going to win. What is it for rats, 85-90% don’t like them and that’s why they are going to lose ?

" Republicans generally are disgusted by Republicans in Congress because they are not doing a damn thing to go after Obama and the Rats."

The Republicans are trying to keep the political battle on a low simmer before the Midterms. They want to keep the Democrat base apathetic so they stay home. I hope this tactic works because it also creates apathy for their side. In the home stretch, the side that generates excitement for their voters wins. That will require one message repeated over and over until it gets through to the voter. This rope-a-dope only works so far and then you go for the knock-out punch.

One could say the Republicans suck less.

Saw the same show. All four of my grandparents came from Poland. I want to go there someday and try to find some relatives.

The DemonRATs wage an ideological war. Such things as “the war on women,” and class warfare work well for them. It enable them to use the Alinsky Method to demonize the Republicans. So, if you say off the ideological page, the other side looks like the party that has their heads in the clouds rather than the job of fixing America’s problems. They would rather play a round of golf and go on vacation. I am hoping America is seeing the DemonRATs as the party lacking the aptitude for fixing America’s problems—like their leader, Zer0.
