Scotland already is an independent sovereign nation (we are the oldest in Europe-843ad), all the nations that make up the UK are. We are one of four nations that make up the state known as the United Kingdom/Great Britain.
We have never been anything but free, we joined the UK in 1707 of our own will. As for the British Empire, well we Scots damn well ran it.

I think Scotland will stay in the Union, but it wont be enough for the Unionists to merely win. To put this argument to rest they will have to win BIG...and its looking like that is not going to happen. In which case, there will be another referendum in 5-10 years time.

Yes, I think it would be good for the Empire to reciprocate by supporting the creation of the independent sovereign nation of Aztlan for La Raza.
Actually Scotland is the only nation in the United Kingdom. Wales is a principality, Ulster is a province, and England doesn’t officially exist.
