I’m not hearing any members of the Britidsh government examine the reasons that Scotland might want to do this.

From what I can gather, the UK government is never overly concerned with what any of it’s citizens actually want.
Again, from the outside looking in, Scotland seems to want to be fully EU, and England’s citizens want a vote that would probably get them completely out of the EU.
The “union” with Scotland has basically blocked England from even having a vote on the topic for many years.I have no idea what Wales and Northern Ireland residents majority opinion is.
I’m extremely confused regarding the nuances of the various degrees of socialism involved.
One odd fact I have absorbed is that if the Scotland does vote YES, England can’t vote NO to the EU in 2015, as no vote will be held.
Yet another reason to thank God that one of my ancestors came to the USA!
