Study Proves Abortion is More Dangerous Than Childbirth
Life News ^ | 9/12/14 | Brad Mattes

Pro-abortion activists fight for abortion throughout pregnancy for any reason—no exceptions. Their fundamental argument centers on women’s health.

But stunning research shows this concern is all smoke and mirrors.

Pro-abortion activists have long tried to claim that abortion is safer than childbirth. For years they’ve touted manipulated numbers, trying in vain to bolster this myth. We’ve always known those statistics were bogus, and a study by Dr. Priscilla Coleman and Dr. David Reardon reveals abortion is much more dangerous to women than giving birth. And the results are sadly even more devastating to women’s health than even I had anticipated.

abortiondangerous

First, let me vouch for the authors of this research. I know them both to be solid individuals with a reputation for thoroughness. I met Dr. Coleman in Santiago, Chile where we lectured at their largest university. We again shared an academic podium in Quito, Ecuador the following year.

Second, allow me to explain why this study is so important. It’s compelling because of its unmatched scope:

In other words, this isn’t a biased study with a relatively small sample size produced to cater to pro-abortion activists—or any side for that matter. This research was conducted at the national level, over the course of a decade, providing substantial credibility, a comprehensive level of detail, as well as earning publication in respected medical journals. The reliability has been substantiated, which is why the results are even more troubling.

When it comes to which is safer—abortion or childbirth—the results speak loudly and clearly:

Here’s a link to the entire study if you’d like to read it.

Pro-abortion activists prey on the fear of Americans by perpetuating the myth that if Roe v. Wade is reversed, women will suffer horrific back-alley abortions and tragic deaths. The reality is that under legalized abortion, women are being killed on a much larger scale.

Remember when we heard the news that Planned Parenthood is responsible for 24-year-old Tonya Reaves’ death following a botched abortion. Reports showed that a devastating five-and-a-half hours passed between the time of her abortion and her transport to a local hospital.

There’s no record that a 911 call was placed by Planned Parenthood. The autopsy report indicated that her injuries were survivable if she had received proper emergency care in a timely manner. The only difference between her death and a back-alley abortion death is that Ms. Reaves’ abortion was sanctioned by the US Supreme Court, giving her a false sense of security that the procedure was safe.

Now Tonya’s one-year-old son will grow up without a mother. Sadly, there have been additional victims after Tonya’s death. And don’t forget the Gosnell “house of horrors.”

Planned Parenthood and other abortion facilities continue to lure young women under the false premise that they perform “women’s healthcare services.” Abortion isn’t healthcare. It’s killing. In fact, they’re an industry of death—killing unborn babies and exposing their mothers to a staggering increased risk of death. Let’s not let this grave injustice continue. Share this with those you know and take a stand. You now have compelling proof that abortion is not safer than childbirth. Help us warn unsuspecting women.

What Big Murder fails to tell people is that most of the "back alley" deaths were the result of infections. These infections are JUST AS LIKELY TO OCCUR WITH LEGAL ABORTION, it's just that we have drugs to treat them now that didn't exist fifty or sixty years ago.

I find this all hard to believe.

I mean, really, how often do you hear about big monetary awards to clients and law firms pursuing abortion practitioners and clinics, "legal" or not, for wrongful death and/or pain and suffering?

All the shysters would be battling it out if there was any truth to the claims.

John Edwards would be channeling the yet-to-be aborted "It's too dangerous, it's too dangerous..." in front of juries, picking up his share of the outrageous jury awards.

The fact is that abortion and birth control, abortions ugly step son, it isn’t about women’s rights, it isn’t about women’s health it isn’t about equality. It is about consequence free sex. Especially for Men.

Men LOVE birth control and it’s backstop abortion because it allows them to have access to regular, non prostitute, women for easy sex. They don’t have to marry them, pay for their care, live with them, pay for, or live with their children.

Much like prostitute whores, it is EXPECTED that a single women will have sex with a man, leave when the man is done and ‘take care’ of any unexpected ‘accidents’ that naturally occur from sex. All the guy has to do is manipulate the woman and pay for the procedure, sometimes.

Aside from the mortality data, it is well known that surgical abortion is a severe risk for later infertility. The idea that "you can always have a child later" all too often turns out to be a cruel joke.

nope, you fail to miss a point.

lib shyster lawyers are not going to develop an anti-(lib)-women, anti-abortion reputation by suing abortion doctors, clinics and planned parenthood. that will impact them negatively very personally. it boils down that big abortion would crush any particular lib shyster lawyer that did it given resource/deep pockets comparison.

that’s anathema to them. plus most wouldn’t believe it and would rationalize the study and the deaths away as exceptions, prolife propaganda, we still drive cars despite thousands of deaths a year, etc etc.

Feminists think that being equal to men is getting the same “privileges” as men. That is, having sex then leaving without having to be responsible for her actions. This messed up society tells you that you can pretty much do what you want without getting in trouble for it. In every single matter. Be it sex, murder, theft, etc. you can get off scot-free because the result of your heinous acts are too much to bear.

If the study showed that abortion was safer than pregnancy it would broadcast every 15 minutes and debated for months but it isn’t what the media wants to hear or tell us about.

I’m beginning to think it is all about race and class. They make it easy for the poor and minorities to get abortions.

Makes sense. Birth is a natural action for which the body is designed, unlike the other.

For one it is difficult to defend someone in the blackmail abortion crossfire. Planned parenthood has benefitted from the huge silence of their victims and their coconspirating impregnating rapists. I am sure the patient is signing a disclaimer that is not signed when inherently having to deliver.

This is key. Abortion clinics have the blood oath of the patient on their side. Malpractice does not apply in the same way.

Chasing abortion clinic is not sanctioned by law as chasing ambulances. abortion clinics are defended by legislation, not insurances or hospitals promising life.

It essentially is suicide, much like euthanasia.

When you have to promise to deliver a life without faults or heal someone as a doctor, it is a much taller order than promising death.

The whole concept is ethically depraved and mentally damaging, not just for the patient, but the entire nation and demoralization of legislators and judges.

Judge Greer in the terry Schiavo case completely erred. He could have sued the hospital for failing to heal her and then judged to stop it. He did not, he just decided she was a cegetable.

Greet was a RINO.

There is no money in it.

Most reputable doctors have malpractice coverage. The lawyers go after them for the "deep pocket" insurance co.

These death clinics are shoestring operations, and the parent PP is well shielded from liability.

Indeed, the medicating is far greater with abortion.

This is the hidden face of the cost of abortion. Communists and progressists think the modern world gives us magic pills to do whatever.

This stuff is not to be taken for granted.

Someone takes a pill when sick. So why make someone sick and then make them take pills as in case of abortions, hiding the abuse and murders?

These things we need to ask ourselves.

Abortion as healing is a legally enforced fraud, and lawyers are very bad at tackling the fundamentals. They cannot sue for malpractice abortion since obviously it is the hospitals who accept bleeding patients who are under the legal gun, not the abortion clinic.

Indeed. Lib lawyers never side with the responsible party in family courts, even if it is the one making money. They all attach themselves to public defense funding from government. They do not rely on the salary of their client directly, but in redistributed forms.

.... Notwithstanding that words like clinic and doctor are a fraudulent application of the term. A doctor is someone potentially failing a promise to heal. Someone cutting someone or mutillating is not a doctor.

I’m beginning to think it is all about race and class. They make it easy for the poor and minorities to get abortions.

It's ALWAYS been about race and class.

Parents from white and Oriental upper-middle class families go out of their way to keep their daughters from getting pregnant and will only use abortion as a last resort. College health clinics go out of their way to make sure that nearly all of the female students are on the Pill (except for the few Catholic and evangelical Christian colleges that still promote abstinence before marriage).

Abortuaries are nearly always in poor and minority neighborhoods and abortion is pushed on these women as the best solution to pregnancy no matter what. The rate of abortion among black women is staggering.
