What if America Held a Funeral for The 57 Million Babies Killed in Abortion?

Tens of thousands of pro-life people will participate in the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children on Saturday at over 100 locations nationwide. The event, held at actual burial places of aborted babies and other memorial sites, will serve as a powerful reminder of how abortion kills children.

The event marks the 26th anniversary of the burial of 1200 aborted babies at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.

“The National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children is taking place tomorrow at more than 120 locations nationwide, including the actual burial places of aborted babies and other memorial sites,” says Eric Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League. “I hope you’ll join me tomorrow as we mourn for all the babies who have lost their lives to legal abortion in our country and rededicate ourselves to fighting for their protection.”

Pro-life activist Monica Miller is also urging people to attend the events tomorrow around the country.

“On Saturday, September 13th, Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, Priests for Life and the Pro-Life Action League are calling on pro-life Americans to participate in a National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children to honor the gravesites of our unborn brothers and sisters,” she told LifeNews. “The date of September 14, 2013, was chosen for this event because it marks the 25th anniversary of the burial of several hundred abortion victims in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.”

Why visit the grave sites of aborted babies?

“When people become aware of the reality of abortion, they can more easily cut through the lies by which some try to justify it, and the natural apathy to which human nature is inclined. Even pro-life people are thrust into a higher level of commitment and activism,” Miller says. “Touching the reality of abortion happens in various ways: hearing a description of the procedure, seeing diagrams of it, seeing images of aborted children, hearing a woman’s personal testimony of regret over her abortion.”

“This impact, whereby abortion no longer remains an abstraction, can be brought to an even more profound level when experienced in an event, such as a funeral for an aborted baby,” Miller continues. “Tens of thousands of these children have been retrieved and buried at gravesites across our country. The stories of how they were killed, how they were found, and how they were buried, along with the images and videos that accompany those events, are powerful tools to awaken the consciences of our fellow citizens.”

Miller continued: “But while a funeral and burial for an aborted baby may be a relatively rare event, the opportunity to visit the burial places and recall how those children got there does not have to be rare—in fact, it should not be rare. Pro-lifers should be visiting these gravesites—and other memorial sites dedicated to aborted babies—as a regular part of their pro-life witness. That’s what the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children is all about.”

This is absolutely true, many say they are opposed to abortion, but never really stop to think about the enormity of the American Holocaust.

The irony of Democrats and liberals supporting abortion is that the overwhelming majority of those Americans who were aborted is that they would have grown up to be Democrats and liberals. This fall when the Democrats lose control of the Senate be sure to tell them to look no further than Planned Parenthood for the real reason why.

thought experiment ...

Suppose we made a “Holocaust Cemetery”, and put up a headstone for every innocent person deliberately killed by the German National Socialist regime.

Suppose we made an “Abortion Cemetery”, and put up a headstone for every innocent person deliberately killed by the American Abortion regime.

Suppose that space aliens were to see these two cemeteries from orbit, and read the signs identifying them. What do you suppose they would conclude?

I used to make that same argument with a liberal friend of mine. First time I ever remember him not having a comeback.

Everytime a pro-life advocate debates a sleazy pro-choice activist the number of Americans exterminated by abortion ought to be emphasized again and again, and let’s see how they respond each time. The war on women started with the Democrats. How many of those babies slaughtered were girls? Instead of a jackass for a symbol the Democrats need to use one of the Grim Reaper.

So true, and millions who say they “oppose” abortion vote repeatedly for pro-abortion candidates.

The cemetery would need to be over 142 times the size of Arlington National Cemetery (400,000 graves).
