Yesterday, Gallup released a poll showing a few things, and none of them are good for Democrats.* The first is that Republicans had expanded their lead over Democrats as the party people believe is best equipped to protect the United States from terrorism:

At the beginning of this year, President Obama referred to ISIS as junior varsity. Later in the year he declared them amateurs. Less than three weeks ago the President said he had no strategy to combat ISIS. Less than two weeks ago, President Obama referred to the non-ISIS rebels in Syria as farmers incapable of leading the resistance against ISIS. This past Wednesday night, President Obama’s bold new strategy is to arm the very rebels he says are incapable of leading resistance to ISIS.

A question I continue to ask about the upcoming elections: Republicans have held majorities in both chambers of Congress within recent memory (e.g., George W. Bush administration), and constantly rolled-over for the Democrats. What makes anyone think that winning majorities in both chambers in 2016 will change that behavior?
Anything less than indictment, trial, conviction, and sentencing demonicrats to hang is still better news than demonicrats deserve.
I agree with you.....that is why every American voter, regardless of political stripe, should vote agains every single Democrat running for election this coming November, 2014. The Democrat Party must be totally destroyed, politically on November 4, 2014.

We will be engaged in a long cold war with the forces of radical Islam much as we were with Communism. This will not end any time soon. Hence, isolationism and a downsized military are not viable options. The GOP has traditionally been seen as the stronger party on national security which is now becoming front and center. However, changing demographic factors as well as the increasing number of Americans on the dole will continue to benefit the Dems.

What is hoped for, what is prayed for, is that Republican majorities in both Houses acts as a tourniquet to the damage Obama and the Democrats have heaped upon this country.

They will have 2 years to make a difference. If Republicans govern as Democrats the big election of 2016 will see them swept from office in historic numbers. We will then have to endure 8 years of Hillary, Reid, and whatever monster they come up with in the House.
What is won by Republicans taking the Senate is preventing Reid and O’bastard would have done.
The only think worse than a liberal in the democratic party is a liberal in the republican party. This is why I’ll be voting for Grimes. This will be my first vote for a democrat since I voted for Dixie Lee Ray back in 1972.
Cleaning out the party is a higher priority than gaining the senate, since, if all we do is gain the senate with RINOs, all we’ve done is return to the earlier bush years.

Thing is, I think the republic is doomed no matter WHO gets elected. My tag line is just the start of it. As I said to one democrat: Sure, obama is an idiot, but the incompetent one is merely the icing being placed on a doom cake that baked for decades. He is the perfect symbol to be in office when the whole thing collapses.
