There are actually more options than that but that summary is close enough for most races. It is possible for a Republican to go so far left on big issues that it’s worth temporarily losing one seat to get rid of him. I don’t trust “independents “ so I’d be voting for the Republican in Kansas.

I don’t think Roberts has wandered that far off the reservation. He:

1) Voted against Obamacare.
2) Voted against Dodd-Frank
3) Voted against the Porkulus.
4) Voted against Cap and Trade.
5) Voted against BHO’s SCOTUS appointments.
6) voted against Harry Reid.

In addition, Roberts is:

1) Pro-life
2) Pro-tradition marriage
3) Pro-Keystone Pipeline
4) Pro- drill baby drill

I could gone on and on.

I think the above info should be enough to vote for him. Of course he’s not perfect. No one is. I live in CA stuck with Boxer and Feinstein for over 20 years. I would be happy to make a trade!

My comments regarding ratings were intended to be taken generally. I’d be voting for him if I lived in Kansas.

Of course.

And I think when push comes to shove, so will almost all Republicans and conservatives.

There is too much at stake here for nitpicking.

Every Dem on the ballot must be defeated.

What’s insane about the people of Kansas wanting a senator who lives in their state? The Roberts family is totally saturated into Virginia. That’s where they own their home and pay taxes. The kids were raised in Virginia. Pat Roberts is so “out of touch” he couldn’t find his ass with both hands.

So therefore just hand the seat over to Harry Reid and BHO?

Great idea!

PULEEEZE! If you wouldn’t make statements like that, people wouldn’t know just how ignorant you are. People have to right, in this nation, to vote for whomever they please, or not vote at all. I suppose that if you had a daughter who had a husband who abused her every chance he got, you tell her to stay with him because he makes good money and it is more economically advantageous. The likes of Mitch McConnell and Thad Cochran have abused Conservatives and their constituents to the point that many of them are saying “Eff you; we’re not taking it any more.” So, go ahead and enable the abusers.

That is a really BS comparison. Apples and oranges.

A better comparison for the political world:

In 1976 I campaigned my heart out for RR when he ran against Jerry Ford in the primaries.

Even though RR did not win that year, I ended supporting Ford in the November election that year because I knew Carter was such an incompetent idiot and a disaster.

That is a more comparable comparison. Kindly keep my daughter out of it.

Don’t be so sensitive. It was a comparison; and a good one. You know that. I will not vote for RINOs who abuse true Conservatives every chance they get and then expect us to vote for them in the General Election. May they all rot in hell.

Last I checked Sen. Pat Roberts had among the most conservative voting records in the entire US Senate.

I guess the definition of RINO has changed in recent years.

Back in the day we used to call liberal Republicans like Lowell Weicker and Jim Jeffords Rockefeller Republicans.

I hardly think Sen. Roberts falls into that category.

It’s simply ridiculous.

If you check Mitch McConnell's voting record, you'd say he's a "true" Conservative. But, those ACU votes are manipulated every single day. It's how they vote on Cloture. It's how they manipulate Bills being written or not written and how long those Bills "circulate" around Washington until it is finally dead in the water, but, they look so sad and say: "We tried." It's how they stand with McConnell and Cornyn rather than with Ted Cruz and Mike Lee. (Remember a few months ago when Ted Cruz called out McConnell and Cornyn and forced them to play their hand and in so doing, they voted with Harry Reid instead of Ted Cruz?) Mitch McConnell and the RINO establishment supported, and pulled for, Roberts in the Primary because they know he will do what they tell him to do. So, yes; I call Pat Roberts a RINO because.........

"BIRDS OF A FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER."

We let’s see.....

McConnell...

1) Is pro-life
2) Is pro-traditional marriage
3) Is pro-gun
4) Is pro-drilling
5) Is pro-Keystone Pipeline
6) Is pro-coal
7) Is pro-nuclear power
8) Is pro-business
9) Voted against Obamacare
10) Voted against the Porkulus
11) Voted against Dodd-Frank
12) Voted against Cap and Trade
13) Voted against BHO’s SCOTUS appointments

I could go on and on. Fact is McConnell has one of the most conservative voting records in the US Senate. Is he perfect? Of course not. No one is. But label the man a RINO and throw away a safe GOP US Senate seat is sheer lunacy. Pure madness. Nuts!!!!!!!

Yes and I remember Roberts standing with Cruz and Lee on that vote contrary to McConnnell. So I guess it's time to throw out your next piece of B.S.

OK, then, please tell me this: Why did Mitch McConnell (speaking for the Moderate wing of the GOP) say re: the Tea Party and grassroots Conservatives: "We will crush you." Why has he not supported one Conservative in Primaries this year? He absolutely hates, Ben Sasse the Conservative winner in of the Primary in Nebraska against McConnells RINO candidate. He hates Ted Cruz and Mike Lee.
If Mitch McConnell is so Conservative, why does he hate Tea Partiers and Conservatives?

I guess the definition of RINO has changed in recent years. Sen. Pat Roberts has a cumulative ACU rating of 86% making him one of the most conservative members of the US Senate. Throwing this senate seat away would be sheer insanity.

That does seem to be a problem with the party in that everybody is somebody else's RINO.

Uh huh? And do you also remember that McConnell and Cornyn only “picked” 5 others, from the GOP, to vote with them and let all the other GOP Senators vote a “Save Your Ass” vote? It’s all manipulated. It’s all freakin’ manipulated. Well, why not? It’s worked well for them with folks like you and Trapped Behind Enemy Lines and Kansas58. But, many of us have wised up. And we will make life hell for them until they are defeated and even after they are elected. “You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all the time.” -—— Abe Lincoln.

Oh yeah. I remember you were there. I remember you picking Wolf because you saw the secret documents that proved he was a TEA Party conservative.
