Initiative-594, the universal background check initiative being bankrolled by millionaires and billionaires in Washington state, will lead to "universal handgun registration" if passed.
Page 2 of the 18-page initiative opens the door to such registration by "extending the requirement for a background check to apply to all gun sales and transfers within the state." This means record keeping, and record keeping means the formation of a database to compile the location of all known guns and the names of all known gun owners.

“. . . will have to find a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder and undergo a background check to transfer the gun.”
Print out copies of the first two pages of an outdated 4473 (doesn’t have “White Hispanic” in the “Race” category) at:

Ask those who are for I-594 to fill them out, and then ask if they don’t think they’ve just registered their firearm. Many who are for this latest attempt have never bought a gun and don’t have a clue as to the info that is required. It may be an eye-opener for some.
“As far as I know they are the only two. Im sure the under sheriff is of the same mind set here in Washoe so he wont be getting our vote.”
It’s really the same situation the country over. The morons group like Lemmings in the big population centers. It’s just that in a state like Nevada it’s more clearly evident. Just met with a friend who is a Wyoming State Senator (an R). It’s the same thing there. Casper and Cheyenne are their two liberal dumps, but fortunately, even there the RATs are still in a minority. Those two cities are the only places in the state that elect a RAT. But you watch, the RAT effluent moves on once they have sufficiently defiled their current nests. They end up not liking what’s happened to their lifestyle and freedom but can’t bring themselves to the realization that they ARE the problem.
“Do you have to register something that fell out of the fishing boat or that dropped out of the backpack while hiking the wilderness?”
No, but it’s easier to do the 80% do-it-your-self weapon which does not need to be registered under the terms of the Federal Firearms Act of 1968.
And, they ARE the problem. Forrest-trees. A friend of mine recently moved here from down near China Lake and when I told him about the politics locally he was actually surprised. I guess I was too when we got here 3 years ago and started looking at the local stuff more closely. At least 2 (4) more conservatives are in the mix and we try to keep up. Of course the reno gayzette urinal is a gannett paper so you know which way it leans.
One can only hope that this never happens.
