Passionate, yes. But generally not possessive. They’re usually quite eager to share them.

Read the article, Edith.

The attendees are only concerned about not offending homosexuals for this stunt. They couldn't give two Shiites about the traditional import of real marriage. It's just more mocking.

Forgot to mention. Holy Matrimony will still be honored in most of America’s churches. Civil marriage was a sham was a joke even before the gays got to it. What dignity is there in a Vegas quickie wedding? I’ve heard that you can not only get Elvis to officiate not only the wedding but the divorce as well.

A friend of mine and his brother share a house. The brother lost his job and insurance. I suggested they marry, so the brother could be put on my friend’s insurance. They laughed, but a few days later, my friend called and said they were too closely related to get married. He jokingly wondered if he could sue for discrimination.

Who cares what they support? The next “couple” might not give a rip. Eventually somebody is gonna do this explicitly to piss them off. If I weren’t already married it might have been me.

Don’t give up on that idea so soon. Multiple marriages can’t be too far down the road. And bring your pets. And livestock.

Really? You would be part of a sham marriage that mocks holy matrimony just so you could "piss off" the homosexuals?

I like your fighting spirit. On the honeymoon, you could further "piss off" the homosexuals by engaging in sodomy too. That'll show 'em.

Forgive me if I don't attend your wedding. But fear not. I'll stay back and watch your purse for you.

That’s rich. You can marry a fudge packer but not your brother. Why have any rules at all. Party on America.(not in favor of marrying your brother by the way)

What if two Hethro men marry each other to get free tickets, go to the game, then after the game get an annulment, will the homos throw a tizzy fit?

Like I’ve always said, sodomite marriage is an imitation marriage.

State sponsored homosexual marriage is no more holy matrimony than is a waitress marrying two bottles of catsup.

I think your assessment is correct. And a marriage partner that would have no problem if you “cheated” on them with someone else, since there is really no emotional attachment really comes full circle back to the “Civil Unions” that were not good enough.

How dare they mock the institution of gay marriage? Is there nothing sacred anymore?

You’re missing the point and conflating civil marriage with that of the Church. How can any system of marriage that recognizes the union of a couple of men (or women) have anything at all in common with holy matrimony? It can’t be a mockery of matrimony because such a system of civil marriage couldn’t possibly honored by God. I’d be making a mockery of a mockery, and most importantly mocking the state.

What makes you think there’s be a honeymoon or living together? I’d make it perfectly clear it was a sham and then demand that the state, the gays, and their sympathizers “respect my civil rights” and doing my level best to make it clear what a disaster gay marriage has been for society.

Well, you can’t attend a wedding that won’t happen. If I were single, still in my ‘20s and without assets. It might doing something that extreme to make a point, but I’m already married and have a kid. Civil marriage might be a sham, but civil divorce can still cost you plenty and I don’t even trust my best friends enough to be my “partner in crime” for such an endeavor.
