If I was black and saw what the Army did to Allen West, I'd probably be a little gun shy (pun intended) about a seeking higher levels of command.

The goal of affirmative action is to place people with IQs of 85 into positions for which they are completely unqualified.
In the army, affirmative action will get a lot of non-affirmative action troops killed, which I am sure the Left considers to be a good thing.
