Terry O'Neill, the president of the National Organization for Women, has called for NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to resign, citing Ray Rice's assault on his now-wife as just one of many examples of the league's failure to act against domestic violence.
The NFL has lost its way. It doesn't have a Ray Rice problem; it has a violence against women problem," O'Neill said in a statement. "... The only workable solution is for Roger Goodell to resign and for his successor to appoint an independent investigator with full authority to gather factual data about domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking within the NFL community and to recommend real and lasting reforms."
In the release, NOW listed Rice, San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Ray McDonald, Carolina Panthers defensive lineman Greg Hardy and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones as examples of cases the league has failed to act on.

I am getting a nice case of schadenfreude over this. Goodell has bent over backwards to please the Northeast/West Coast clerisy from Michael Sam, the whole month of pink crap, Spanish language stuff for Hispanic time, etc. Now these same people and groups he tried to brown nose are throwing Goodell under the bus. Ha Ha!!!

I realized years ago that depending solely on a single source to know what their opponent or enemy is saying is very dangerous. Its like libs who depend on Maddow to tell them what Cruz says. Or those in Russia who only hear what Putin says about what Ukraine is doing.

if everyone accused of domestic violence were to be fired from thsir job, there would be a HUGE increase in unemployment.
I have no idea as to why everyone is upset with the NFL...they are not an investigative organization and merely waited for official, legal, information as to what had happened. They were under no obligation whatsoever to investigate the situation on their own.
If the now Mrs. Rice would state that they always played sex games and that even though this one had gone too far she had no complaint to express, this whole matter should go away. (I think that Rice is a complete loser and a violent bully) but I'm not Mrs. Rice.

Goodell allows a foreigner and an enemy of America to own a team but denied loyal American Patriot Rush Limbaugh the chance to the Rams.

Private Businesses have to worry about customers approval.
And bad stories can hurt the bottle line.

That leads to analogy, I planted that mine (trap) out there dozens of times where the Rush-bot-ships took that baited water mine and boom and got sunk by it.
I prepared that response in HTML years ago and saved it for this fun, and I usually get one Rush-sucker so sure that he could NEVER that said those things they go for it.
