Edited on 09/11/2014 6:24:50 AM PDT by Admin Moderator. [history]

The Democratic Party and the mainstream media joined to run interference for Barack Obama when he became a national figure. Obama was painted as a charismatic, competent, new kind of politician. The passage of time destroyed this image. Now, the public increasingly sees Obama as incompetent, untrustworthy and unmotivated.

They are ALL trying to distance themselves from obamination knowing perfectly well he will continue to “fundamentally change” this nation with his pen and paper and no one will stop him. They are getting ready to be Hillary cheerleaders now.

Obama, once considered a savior and asset for Democrats, is now a serious liability.

It's far worse than that for Democrats and the news media (but I repeat myself). Obama is the living face of the Democrat Party and the MSM.

And because of Obama, people are finally starting to see what the Democrat Party and the MSM really are!

“Supporters are now in an awkward position. Do they continue to support what is increasingly seen as an inept president or do they turn against him?”

I think this is wishful thinking.

The masses of biased idiots who were ignorant and uninformed enough to support “O” in the first place are STILL so ignorant and uninformed that NONE of his faults and failures (albeit as glaring and frequent as they are) will EVER change their minds.

Look for “O” to be set up as an American icon into perpetuity. Streets, airports and schools named for him... statues.. and all that BS!

We’ll have to choke on this one for ever.

I feel sorry for the next minority Presidential candidate who comes along and has to succeed IN SPITE of all that.

The Democrats and the media will do what they always do: They will double down on their lies and attempt to reinforce the "narrative". Meanwhile, Democrat candidates will quietly avoid Obama and the media will kill any linkages between Obama and the Democrat candidates.

Think of it as "fresh start 2014".

I so agree, and I wonder if liberalism itself, Obama being it’s principal purveyor, isn’t suffering a bit. Obama becomes collateral damage to the people’s realization of the bankruptcy of the policies.

Liberalism sounds so good on bumper stickers, but when put into practice, as Obama has succeeded in doing, all the down-stream repercussions that Conservatives warned about are coming to the fore, for all to see.

Conservatism has far more to gain if the focus is on the ideology itself, instead of Obama. If liberalism is deemed the culprit, then liberals will be severely weakened beyond Obama. Yes, meaning Hillary.

Chuck Todd said Owebama’s failures on foreign policy is getting into Carter territory.

That should send the RATS scurrying for the exit door.

——the public increasingly sees Obama as incompetent.....-—

That and your comment are far from reality. The view that Obama is incompetent long ago departed our boundaries and extends throughout the whole world.

“Black” will trump incompetence, just as it trumps “truth” in places like Ferguson.

Assume that Hillary is the Dem nominee in 2016. The candidate usually takes control over the DNC..putting their own people in charge. So the Clintons will be running the show. Now consider the 2016 Dem convention. How much praise, recognition, air time...and when will they give Obama? Love to be in the room for that discussion. There isn’t enough popcorn in the world...

Obama has left Carter's failures far behind, choking on his dust. There is no comparison.

The Dem’s are clearing out the old lies to make room for the new lies. There is no separation between Obama and his policies and what the Dem’s and Media (redundant) want and believe. The only want the gullible to believe that there is this far-out, incompetent guy name Obama, and then there’s “us”. If they want ANY chance of winning anything other than safe, gerry-mandered seats this fall, they need to create space and distance between their oh-so-”moderate” candidates and Obama.

He will still have a small libtard cult following that can’t let go of the image they have of him.

Like Hugo Chavez, they will want to have him stuffed when he leaves office.

The media is in even worse shape. They are 90% responsible for getting the clown elected.

“The Democrats and the media will do what they always do: They will double down on their lies and attempt to reinforce the “narrative”.”

Yes they will, and I predict there will be a whole lot of people killed in a terrorist attack to get the rest of the country to rally around him.

If anyone, especially the repubs in congress, don’t rally around him and give him 100% support it will be said they support the terrorist.

The decision to support or abandon a failed presidency is an easy one in an ideal world -- the political class and the media should do what is in the best interest of the country.

Say what? Their job is to just tell the damn truth (hahahaha), not tell what they deem to be "in the best interest of the country", barring security issues. When did they become a part of the representative government? I know they think they are. Actually they're worse than that, they're unelected and answer to none, but consider themselves an intellectual "elite".
