She may be a gold-digger or may truly care for him. Either way, for her to marry him after what he did to her shows that the incident was not the deciding factor in their relationship.

Maybe Rice has reformed and they will stay together after this, but it’s equally likely his pent up anger at subsequent events will surface sometime and he will blame her for all his problems. She would be well advised to get as far away from him as possible - the next time it may not be just a punch that knocks her down.

” the man I love .... “

If he goes broke, my guess is he won’t be the man she loves very long.

This video was dramatically a worst case scenario in terms of what he did in that elevator, but we know nothing about his conduct before this event or why it got to that point.

I saw a report this morning that AP has a video with sound showing that after he slapped her, she spit at him which led to his punch.

He knocked the sense out of her head.

He spends his day getting slammed around. He does it because it pays well. Same with her.

I don’t see where she’s held Ray accountable for his actions, any where in her Instagram “statement”. Maybe I’m missing something.

She calls the actions taken by the NFL (?) horrific. I call Ray Rice’s actions - in that elevator - horrific.

I learned a long time ago to stay out of other peoples relationships. It is none of my business what happens inside their marriage. Actually, it is none of anyone’s business.

So, no matter what happened she has now been victimized twice. Only 1 time(that we know of) by her husband.

I hope all the gossiping nanny’s are happy.

I understand that the NFL felt sorry for Rice’s twit of a wife, and cut him in a way that he’ll still get millions. So, ergo, the wife beating bozo, will be a multi-millionaire without having to work. Go figure.

I am so sick of this story. She is right, it is none of our business and I’m disgusted by the media. She decided to marry him after whatever happened. People need to leave her alone.

I agree with you 100%. I’m surprised how many men have become such gossiping nannies.

I wonder if you would have the same attitude if a 6 foot 5, 350 pound defensive tackle beat you to a pulp. Would you still say what you just said? I think the shoe would be on the other foot, and you would care.

I think this indefinite ban is crap.

Did anyone NOT know that he hit her? Was he claiming that she simply fell? No.

The ONLY thing new this video showed me was:

1) Rice was so drunk/high he could barely stand up,
2) Confirms that she hit him first, and was charging him when he lashed out.

If she filed charges against him, and I was on the jury? I’d be sympathetic to her. The fact that she forgave him, and married him.... tells me this is either not indicative of their overall relationship, or... she feels partially to blame for what happened.

A two game suspension for Rice was, essentially, a $1.6 M fine. That seems more than appropriate considering the level of offense.

I learned one new thing yesterday. When Goodell interview the couple, before deciding on the two game suspension..they were BOTH in the room at the same time..That’s absolutely dumb..stupid..

They didn’t cut him in a way that he’ll still get millions .... he will keep about $25 million that he’s already been paid up front (signing bonus, etc.) because it’s almost impossible to claw it back.

Here’s a link:
http://money.cnn.com/2014/09/08/news/companies/ray-rice-contract/index.html

He can’t go to the Canadian football league either:
http://money.cnn.com/2014/09/08/news/companies/ray-rice-contract/index.html

Looks like he’ll have to be slumming on the $25 mill he’s already banked .... unless he’s spent it already.

Yeah, she cute.

But she's a hothead, Black Woman, with a temper like we see all the time that don't mind throwing down on a man or woman.

I read where she spit in his face just prior to getting KO'd.
