RUSH: Now, moving on to this "Bizarre lung virus hospitalizing hundreds of kids across the Midwest. About 450 children have been treated at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Virus comes on as a cold before developing into respiratory distress. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention testing whether it is an Enterovirus D68 or EV-D68, a respiratory infection with varying symptoms and levels of intensity. There is no proper treatment or vaccine for EV-D68. Doctors have been treating severe cases with ventilation. Outbreaks also reported in Colorado, Illinois and Ohio.

Now, there's a companion story. Oh, wait, I'm sorry. There isn't a companion story, except that I know there is, but there isn't. The companion story is Obama will not tell anybody where all of the children that have crossed the border in the last four months have been relocated to. I found that out in my cramming last night getting ready for the big program today. A bunch of people want to know, okay, we had these kids cross the border from El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, wherever they came from, Central America. They were processed real quickly. Gotten in, gotten out and they've been distributed all over the country. And Obama won't tell anybody where he put them.
The Regime will not announce where they are. Now, are the two stories related or are they not? Does this sweeping mysterious virus that's multiplying across the Midwest, does it have anything to do with that or not? We don't know. That's the answer. We just don't know. But some people think there may be some kind of a connection.

“Children’s Mercy reported the surge in respiratory illnesses to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Aug. 19. Four days later, the University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital notified the CDC of a similar increase in cases. CDC lab tests of specimens from the two hospitals confirmed that most of the illnesses were caused by enterovirus D68 (EV-D68).”
In addition to Illinois, Missouri and Kansas, nine other states — Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Oklahoma, Ohio and Utah — are reporting unusually large numbers of respiratory illnesses, the CDC said. Testing for EV-D68 in those states in underway. The virus has been confirmed in at least one, Iowa.
EV-D68 was first identified in 1962 in California. More recently, clusters of cases have been reported in Japan and the Philippines, but it has been uncommon in the U.S.

Saturday, my 17 year old son came down w/a cold, quickly went from scratchy throat, congestion to SICK running a temp. Slept all Sunday (fever, chills, nasty congestion—but no wheezing.) Missed school yesterday (found out high absenteeism for September, and this “bug” is dropping teens).

Certainly Obama and the Democrats want to spread the infection of importing people coming from places where questioning authority can be hazardous to one’s health — and at the same time promoting the continued wholesale abortion of Americans.
Hence those who are accustomed to freedom are being replaced by those who don’t. Perhaps spreading a disease around that does not kill those from where it originated, but will (hopefully) kill kids in the host country, thus speeding up this replacement process.
Then Obama will even sooner emulate the Latin American dictatorships he obviously envies.
