FROM PANERA:
Within our company, we strive to create Panera Warmth. This warmth means bakery-cafes where customers and associates feel comfortable and welcome. To this end, we ask that guns not be brought into this environment unless carried by an authorized law enforcement officer. Panera respects the rights of gun owners, but asks our customers to help preserve the environment we are working to create for our guests and associates.

************** Isn’t this a request rather than an out and out ban on concealed carry?

I’ll keep my guns, freedom, and money, and Pansy Bread can keep their hoity-toity sandwiches.

When you post your restaurants asd no guns allowed, then I’ll consider it...otherwise you are simply grandstanding.

Like starbucks does...”we’d RATHER you didn’t” but the ones near me don’t have signs...you need to post the sign. Thats our law anyway...

And no quibbles with it...if thats how you feel, I can spend my money for better stuff elsewhere.

Went into local store once. The service and food were horrible, the prices worse.

I bake my bread fresh and from scratch, not from prepackaged frozen (which they do).

While I don’t CC. This move does not make me feel safer. I would much rather go somewhere that accepts/respects CC, or open carry for that matter.

I ate there [Panera Bread] once and found the food was rather bland and prices too high for the meal you got. I didn't go back. To all you CEOs that don't want CCW carriers in your stores, we CCW carriers won't be protecting your silly butts and we will not patronize your lousy stores. Bye, bye.

Panera needs to know we do not boycott like petty leftists, we avoid the dangers of gun free zones.

as usual, the safety concern... funny they do not mention people chocking on their bread or dying from diabetes with their refined crap.

Why treat guns as a greater safety concern than any other instrument ? This is a nanny precedent.

Then I hope someone with a gun robs you of all your dough.

Well, two-day old bread and a cup of Campbells canned soup isn’t worth 5 bucks.

Enjoy your demise, liberal puke.

"Okey dokey, won’t be eating at Panera again."

All these restaurants that make rash judgements like this are usually sorry about it not long after because their business takes a dive.

Even restaurant chains like Red Lobster and Olive Garden, part of Darden Restaurants are struggling since they partnered with Moochelle and her nutrition program. They got a waiver for ObamaCare because of it. I read today that Darden is selling Red Lobster because of poor earnings, and Olive Garden is now offering 7 weeks of unlimited pasta for $100. I wonder if they got Moochie's approval for that move.

I went to Panera many years ago when it first opened up in the area. I was pretty disappointed at the menu offerings back then, so much so...that I never went back.

That’s the same as here in VA. Starbucks and Target said that but then never posted the signs
