On Sept. 5, Ukrainian Facebook users were shocked as the world's biggest social network seemed to deliberately overlook some abusive posts related to the war in Ukraine's east.
A day before, on Sept. 4, Facebook user Xela Rekrap posted a picture of the body of a dead Ukrainian soldier hanging on the high voltage wires. A brutal commentary accompanied the image.
"A minute of soldier's humour. Starobesheve village. Our militants hung a dead Ukrainian trooper on the wires with the help of a fire truck. Let him fly," read the description.

Do they really believe that Facebook monitors every image and every posting, and takes notice? Do they think that not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without Facebook knowing it? (apologies if that sounds offensive)

Facebook is notorious for removing conservative commentary ad photographs with no content objectionable for any reason other than being critical of Liberal causes, with or without any external complaints about the Facebook content. Here we have some of the most graphic and heinous content with numerous complaints being disregarded by Facebook for a period of time before taking down the objectionable content. in other words, this was not a case of Facebook simply not being aware of the problem well before responding to the complaints.
FB moderators must have mistaken it for a pro necrophelia post.
Not when your goal is to respond to snarky headlines with an equal dose of snark...
To make it even more abundantly clear, the headline is a good example of the “How come when you lose something, you always find it in the last place that you look?” genre of tautologies...
Not when you are talking about Facebook whose default setting is that of an exotic auto-dominatrix soliciting submissive and supplicant conservatives desirous of abuse.
