Columnist: ISIS Is Bush's Fault, But GOP Trying to 'Yoke Obama With' It
Breitbart's Big Journalism ^ | September 2, 2014 | AWR Hawkins

On August 31, The New York Times ran a op-ed in which columnist Charles M. Blow contended that Republicans are trying to use the 9/11 attacks to make Americans fear ISIS and "yoke Obama with the ill effects of a war started by [George W. Bush]."

One immediate problem with this theory is that ISIS--now IS--is not an ill effect of the Iraqi War but of the power vacuum created by President Obama's precipitous withdrawal of all U.S. Troops in 2011.

But Obama knows this, which is why he blamed the troop pull-out on George W. Bush early last month.

The Washington Times reported that on August 9--just two days after authorizing airstrikes against IS--Obama "blamed his predecessor, George W. Bush, for the absence of American troops in Iraq and rejected the assertion that he could have left a small peacekeeping force in the war-torn country [to prevent the creation of the power vacuum that opened the door to IS]."

Charles M. Blow does not see this. Instead, he contends that the GOP is trying to shift blame to protect Bush and to force Obama into going to war with IS.

He draws examples from Fox News to bolster his assertion, such as Judge Jeanine Pirro saying Obama's lack of leadership toward IS should make Americans "afraid."(continued)

Has everyone forgotten the effects of the 2007 Democratic Congress? They began right away to threaten funding of Iraq and Afgn operations -and the troops! 2007 funding were held up by Pelosi and Murtha and funds and supplies had to come out of current DoD programs and operations. The DoD cancelled weapons programs to gap-fund Iraq and Afgn.

This IMO is what forced GWB to agree to the Iraq troop withdrawal along with the fact the Sunnis and Shia demanded it. Then in 2009 Obama quickly took credit for troop removal. He and the Democrats set this in motion and still own the results.

I know that the term “War on Terror” isn’t usually the best term and is usually adopted by PC pussies, but once Mecca is nuked and the Muslims deconvert in masses, we can’t really call it the “War on Islam”. Maybe the “War on ex-Muslims” would be better.

Sadly, I think you’re right. It would be nice to ask some of our presidential contenders (such as Ted Cruz) what they think of the plan, but unless they can manage to sneak in a word off-camera I doubt they’ll endorse it.

I have long suspected that Mecca, and then Medina, are Israel’s first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth nuclear warhead targets.

If a nuclear warhead ever explodes over Israel, the next explodes over Mecca and the third over Medina.

Thank-you Vince - yes you get it - a lot of politicians on both sides supported the Arab Spring that’s why it never gets brought up as the cause of the current crisis.

I am convinced Obama is really annoyed with the terrorists. He hates to have to divert his attention from his destruction of our once great country.

I cannot believe this idiot is going to lay out his plans for combating them on 9/10. Just perfect. Lay down the gauntlet to assure tat they will respond the next day.

Uh, no. ISIS is their own fault - sitting around doing nothing about them and allowing them to continue expanding unimpeded was indeed Obama’s. They weren’t doing that on Bush’s watch, and would have never been allowed to had they tried.

Obama’s take at this point is:

Well, I because president but I’ve done nothing for six years. Bush set it up so I couldn’t do anything.

How can his supporters continue to buy into this?

The man has cone next to nothing, and the things he has done have screwed things up terribly. Then he refuses to admit it and blames Bush.

To hear Obama tell it, this has been Bushes third and fourth terms in office.

Obama sure must be proud...

“A pilgrimage to Mecca is one of the five pillars of Islam. If you knock that pillar down, the rest of the rotten edifice collapses, and Islam is proven false.”
Or, if it were nuked and they still made the pilgrimage, They would all fall ill and die!

Charles M. Blow....Get your head out of the deeper, and darker recesses of your ‘mind’, because, HE’S got a “yoke” that has cast a shadow over the entire Northern Hemisphere.

Israel’s use of nuclear weapons would be in extremis — the only time they got close was during the 1973 war, reportedly Dayan went to Meir and said, “the Third Temple is ending”, and she gave the order to load the bombers. The reservists had already begun to rush to duty, and the tide turned before morning.

The very first attack would be on those clustered oil fields in the Gulf States, not the population centers — a thank-you card to their supposed allies for letting Israel be defeated and destroyed.
