If only I could figure out a way to convince the folks in California and New York that they want THEIR independence from the USA!

There are any number of horrors for the no campaign in the gory entrails of the latest YouGov poll. A declining minority of voters are believing the currency threat, repeated by George Osborne this morning. Alex Salmond’s “we’ve got three plan Bs” quip has not been the disaster senior no strategists predicted. Also, the poll suggests faith in a post-no victory dollop of extra devolution has plummeted too.

The campaign over the future of Scotland is now so close that every voter in the referendum could tip the balance, Alistair Darling has warned.

‘People of Scotland are winning,’

So what does that mean? That there will be a yes vote or that there will be a no vote?

Since the people of Scotland are the only ones voting, I assumed they would win either way

Arguably, the English are well rid of the current population of Scotland. After centuries of exporting their talented and adventurous to the Empire and the world, and not a few south to England, the remnant seem to be the most welfare dependent and rent-seeking in the UK.
Scotland has been a net drain on the UK economy for a long time.

Probably not, but they will have to charge more to make up for the loss of money from London...:^)
