IMO, Russia should be an excellent ally of ours.
We have much more in common than we have differences.
It’s leadership has been stuck on stupid for close to 100 years. Even when it had a chance to start all over, they put the current idiot stick in charge, and he is going to take them back three decades. It is very sad.
Russians immigrate to the U.S. and do quite well. They fit in. Many of their woman are very beautiful.
There is a criminal element to be sure. I’m not sure how universal it is.

Russia may at some point back ISIS. It already backs Iran, and should Iran turn regionally interventionist, Russia could easily be expected to back their play.
Ten years ago, I could not have seen this coming except in Biblical prophecy. IMO, things are falling into place.
It was my take that we didn’t court Russia to the extent we should have after it’s fall.
If we had cultivated a working relationship, we wouldn’t be where we are today. We took an open window, closed the door to the room, and stayed in the other part of the house.
Russia eventually looked for relationships elsewhere.
So while I think Russian leadership is being very short-sighted today, we certainly didn’t do anything to avoid it.
Exactly. Reagan, at the height of the Cold War, had more diplomacy and managed to build a working relationship with Russia. I cannot press the point enough that I really believe Hussein’s hatred of whites is one of the few things that can actually move him, considering his monumental laziness, apathy, and self-regard.

Except that the GOPe is just biding its own time to have power to push for amnesty, no different than the left, if for different reasons. They’ve shut up about it before the election, as it’s a losing issue for them with their present main constituency. But they can “fix” that if they win, they will no longer be even slightly beholden, as they are now (only slightly) to cultural conservatives.
The Mexicans want to complete their takeover of the southwest ASAP. The state controlled “media” cheered the fact that they were going to outnumber the gringos by 2025 if the invasion from the south kept up. They’ve got to meet that deadline. They aren’t going to wait around for Barry. I can’t blame them. I wouldn’t want to live in that sewer south of the border either.
Oh no doubt in my mind the GOP will give it to them. But they cannot convince their flocks ...suddenly after a lifetime of calling the GOP Satan... that the GOP is now their best buddy. It would undermine their whole propaganda effort to date and destroy the Kool aid devotion they have..
