Why does iran not like isis?ISIS is Sunni Muslim and Iran is Shia, and they consider each other as departing from the true faith.

hy does iran not like isis? For the same reason every other existing government does not. They want to take over and throw the existing rulers out, or just kill them. Besides, they're Arabs and Iran doesn't really like them (or anyone else) either.

Iran is mostly Shi’ia Islam, while ISIS (and most of the Islamic world) is Sunni.

Islam is an Arab supremacist ideology. IS/ISIS/ISIL is Sunni - Arab. Iran is Persian, non-Arab, Shia. The fallout between Shia and Sunni Islam began after Muhammed's death when succession was questioned. How the Turks play into this, is another question.
