The 10% figure comes from the Left. The actual percentage is considerably lower, depending on the source.

The last government study said 1.6% were homosexual and 0.7% were bi-sexual
More like 1-2% and keep in mind the polls ask the question, “Have you ever had any same sex contact in your life?” This could include being sexually abused as a child or drunk lesbian college experimenting. That counts as part of that 1-2%. So the actual number is likely less than 1% are actually homosexual.
“Homophobe” is an example of the ‘attack against the person’ fallacy in debate.
After market research, the term “Islamophobia” was invented to accomplish the same purpose.
Rather than address the legitimate concerns (early death, disease, sexual abuse, etc.), the problem is now with the person raising the questions.
It’s a slick political linguistic maneuver but nothing more.
-— The 10% figure comes from the Left -—
It originated with Kinsey, the zoologist, pervert, masochist and armchair psychologist.
This figure came from his poll of prison inmates, many (most?) of whom had been convicted of sexual abuse.
