So global warming is causing global cooling. Is this part of the new Common Core curriculum?

Haven’t heard?
Warm globally, cool locally!

Researchers say a lot these days. Quite a bit of it seems to be... well... frankly strange.

Yes, global warming causes planetary cooling, but you just have to be a Democrat to understand the concept.

“A new study says that as the world gets warmer, parts of North America, Europe and Asia could see more frequent and stronger visits of that cold air.”
Oh, well... good thing another new study says that world isn’t actually getting warmer, so nothing to worry about.

Funny how every problem can be traced back to global warming according to “researchers” these days - even when there hasn’t been any global warming for 19 years...

Given that the ice off Russia has expanded greatly this year, then we shouldn’t have a polar vortex.
And therefore can look forward to a warm winter.
Right. Somehow I don’t think that’s how its shaping up.

Yes, of course, and dark clouds are causing clear skies. Man made climate change skeptics will, no doubt, not believe this.

Only problem is last season's icepack was the most extensive in years.
But don't confuse the "scientists" with the facts.

A study, paid for with your tax dollars, no doubt.
So they will have an excuse to tax you more.
Got it...

It actually makes some sense to me. Warmer temps causes ice to melt. The ice melts and that results in colder water joining in the worldwide currents. Which produces colder temps. Am I totally wrong? And let me just say, I think these events are natural and cyclical. Man does not have the effect that those nutjobs say we do. (Flame suit on.)

Researchers say that’s because of shrinking ice in the seas off Russia.
Arctic ice is at record high. Wouldn’t ice in the seas off Russia be the Arctic? This must be some new phenomena where shrinking ice causes it to get bigger.

I'm sure if the intranets were around in the days of Galileo, the 'scientific community' that had invested all of their studies in the Ptolemaic models would have been still arguing why a earth-centric solar system was correct and that the authorities needed to shut Galileo up for defying the position of settled science.
Not much has changed, except today's bunch have a much more lucrative dollar trough that is being threatened, than the Ptolemaic scientists.

These 'polar vortices' used to be called 'Alberta Clippers'. They were damn cold then, too.

Any article by Seth Borenstein should automatically be considered flagrant, lying trash. The guy is a total waste of protoplasm.
To: artichokegrower
The ice pack last summer was something like 30% more than the year before. Weird how an effect of melting sea ice would happen in a year when the ice was a lot more extensive.

How does moving cold from one place to another result in net warmth?

Oh’ computer models...my head is exploding.....
As far I I can tell every global warming computer model has serious flaws in predicting weather temperatures....
All of them did not predict the temperature to stop raising in the last 17 years....
So of course this one is correct..../ S
