I hear you. I'm not an urban girl, so that is probably an advantage. Some of my mother's relatives were farmers, so maybe that had some influence on me. On the other hand, my father grew up in a city in New Jersey, so...

Everything since 2008 has gone wrong, and food prices are one. Imho, that's the plan of this administration. We desperately need to get a conservative into the White House.

Yup! I do think things will improve once we get this fool out of the White House. Unless, of course, we get Elizabeth Warren, then we can all pack it in.

Increases in food prices are just part of the larger (unreported) inflation picture. When Bush II added a prescription drug plan to Medicare, and the Dems pushed health insurance (NOT healthcare) for all, the programs were paid for by simply printing more money. What we are seeing is the same result when the Allies that foolishly demanded punitive reparation from Germany for WWI then foolishly agreed to let them pay them with paper money instead of gold; the German government simply printed billions of marks to pay the debt, and the resulting hyperinflation led to the extremes of Nazism and communism.
