The re-election campaign of U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has gained momentum in the last month, propelled by huge leads over Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes in Western and Eastern Kentucky and among men, according to a new Bluegrass Poll.

With less than 10 weeks until Election Day, the poll of 569 likely voters shows McConnell with a 4-point lead over Grimes, up from a 2 point margin a month ago. McConnell now leads Grimes 46 percent to 42 percent...

Who said anything about financial support or activism for RINOs?

They’ve NEVER gotten a penny from me.

It's mosque. And you you can't get that right, you ain't much on intellect.

All you have is crying wolf. No-one buys it anymore.

You seem to assume that wresting control of the GOP is required.

I reject your assertion.

Keeping liberal republicans from ever winning another election will be plenty.

I don't particularly care if your party survives or not.

Electing Grimes will help insure Harry Reid has the majority position for life.

That might only be true if you believe that the 2014 Senate election cycle will be 50-50 with McConnell as the winning vote.

I don't think that's the case this year. I think we have seats to give.

The Senate is currently 55-45 Democrat. Republicans need six seats.

Likely Republican pick-ups:

This gets us half-way there.

Strong contenders if McConnell manages the message right (he's not). We need three.

The question now is, what are Republicans going to do about Democrat voter fraud in these races? What will McConnell do to make sure that the necessary oversight and publicity is laid in advance to watch out for improprieties?

Given McConnell's weakness in the face of Democrat pressure, the answer is that he will do nothing.

We need to win three of the bottom listed seats and oust McConnell from the Senate, if we really want to see conservative change have a chance.

Still, it's another opportunity to explain the realities of the Senate to the masses.

What do you want me to say?

Do you deny that they are Communists, bent on destroying family, small business, education, religion, the middle class?

If you don't believe that RAT = progressive = communist.... I guess you don't watch much live debate/RATaganda on CSPAN, or Sunday Morning Talk shows.

It's all about 'winning' power and control over your money.

You cannot change the RAT party. But you can change the GOP, with the TEA party. You don't seem to get that you need to have the power. You need the power to repeal garbage. There are years of conservative legislation required to turn the fed mess around.

Control the money?

Unconstitutional department need to be closed, millions of government employees need to be terminated, and their retirement benefits curtailed and revised.

Yes you need to get rid of the RINOs, but you need to get the revised (conservative) power structure in place at the same time, or shortly thereafter.

Yeah I want the GOP in power, I just don't want any RINOs running it.

It's mosque.

Really? Says who?

Are they French? Are you French?

I'm pretty sure it's an Arabic word, written in Arabic text. So I refuse to use the polically correct spelling of moslem (not Muslim) words.

You seem to assume that wresting control of the GOP is required.

It is.

I reject your assertion.

I see that.

I don't particularly care if your party survives or not.

If it doesn't, nothing else will either.

Your party is so corrupt with liberals from top to bottom that the only solution is making sure liberal republicans are politically destroyed.

Our party?

Kindly shake a stick at your party. What's its platform? Who are its candidates? Does it have any hope of election? Does it even have a name?

The US will still be here, in spite of your hyperbole.

The US? Or North Argentina or Venezuela?

The goal must be to oust the Democrat Party from power before they can build up such a large underclass that it can't be outvoted.

That means voting for every candidate with an R after his name, RINOs included. The time to purge the RINOs has passed this cycle. That's what primaries (cockfights and all, LOL!) are for.

In addition to simply beating RINOs in primaries:

Rather than simply abusing elected RINOs here on FreeRepublic; we need to be abusing them in their comfort zones, in letters to the papers, at townhall meetings, on local radio talk shows.

We should be heckling and ridiculing them at press events and holding up humorous signs on busy street corners, like the Protest Warriors.

The GOP cheats, changes rules, and plays dirty to get their liberal through the primaries (See Cochran). Even if a conservative does make it, the GOP stomps their feet and refuse to support the nominee.

Nope. I reject your assertion, or your predictions.

All you have to sell is "Wolf! Wolf! Vote for the liberal Republican"

It's you republicans that are trying to sell liberal candidates. No-one seems to be buying.

Why? They won't stop being liberal.

The best way to get rid of one is to go door-to-door, and campaign against them.

That's part of why Dewhurst is gone, despite being the GOP-E chosen candidate. If they don't get votes, they go away and stop being a problem.

I'm not trying to make a point to them, I'm trying to get them fired.

What do you want me to say? Do you deny that they are Communists, bent on destroying family, small business, education, religion, the middle class?

Do you deny that the GOP Ruling Class Oligarchy isn't content to do the same?

Did McConnell not declare war on Conservatives who are pro-family, pro-small business, Christianity and the middle class if they dare challenge his leadership? Did he not vow to "crush them wherever we find them"????

If you don't believe that RAT = progressive = communist.... I guess you don't watch much live debate/RATaganda on CSPAN, or Sunday Morning Talk shows.

If you do not believe the GOP Ruling Class Oligarchy = judenRAT = Commie-lite, I guess you are not paying attention to their fruits because you are too busy watching their talking points on CSPAN or Sunday Morning Talk shows.

You cannot change the RAT party.

It's becoming obvious that we cannot change the JudenRAT GOP Ruling Class oligarchy in our former party either.

But you can change the GOP, with the TEA party.

You mean the very ones who had war declared on them by the cretin you are demanding we vote for in November else we be 'enemies of the American people'???

You don't seem to get that you need to have the power.

You don't seem to get that a party and candidate with no principles will never have any power. Neither will those who vote expedience over principle.

You need the power to repeal garbage.

Which is why we are not casting a vote for McConnell in November. We have the power to refuse giving our vote to traitors to our cause in the prayerful hope the garbage is chucked from the seat he currently occupies.

There are years of conservative legislation required to turn the fed mess around.

We've been practicing insanity for decades doing the very thing you are attempting to shame us into. We are out of time to turn this mess around and done with being a battered wife to the GOP leadership.

Unconstitutional department need to be closed, millions of government employees need to be terminated, and their retirement benefits curtailed and revised.

And yet the guy you are attempting to shame us into voting for just said THIS PAST WEEK - he is never going to do any of that.

Might as well vote for the DemoRAT - same difference.

Yes you need to get rid of the RINOs, but you need to get the revised (conservative) power structure in place at the same time, or shortly thereafter.

We get rid of the Oligarchy by refusing to support it and vote for it.

Yeah I want the GOP in power, I just don't want any RINOs running it.

Voting Republican is no longer a solution to the consequences we are just beginning to experience.

As you said - McConnell not only will DO NOTHING, we must remember he engages in it himself.

Cochran in MS anyone?

I don't want to publicly berate John Cornyn, that gets me nothing.

So I'll simply burn up the phone lines in October, and wear out the shoe leather, and explain in personal terms what his cowardly cloture votes did during the removal of the debt limit, and funding Obamacare. And explain how cloture works. People aren't all stupid.

That works much better at solving the long-term problem.

Doesn't do much for those that want to vent, but that is what pets are for. They can listen to the whining.

Real men help people move on 'other job opportunities' when they become a problem.

Yep. And the gop-e voices here on FR get more strident. If I don't vote for their liberal, I'll wind up in a FEMA camp, or something. And one poster saying that principle doesn't matter and everyone MUST vote for the R, regardless of how liberal.

I know of at least two pro-gope posters that were retreads that recently got the zot in the last few days.

The liberal republicans are nothing, if not persistent.

I think their internal polling is driving the desperation. They can't sell crap sammiches anymore.

Correction:

We need to win four of the bottom listed seats and oust McConnell from the Senate, if we really want to see conservative change have a chance.

It's three and KEEP McConnell.

It's also possible for a Leaning Democrat state to move right.

Do you deny that the GOP Ruling Class Oligarchy isn't content to do the same?

Well....I think your other description fits them much better, they just want to hold on to power, and hate conservatives.

Let's make this short and sweet.

The people you are referring to as "the GOP Ruling Class Oligarchy" are a relative handful compared to the millions of "Republicans" who actually are "the party". Republican voters would automatically vote for your favorite candidates with the "R" after their name.

Otherwise, they either might not, or will not.

Is there something really hard there to understand about the value of an established party?

They have in the past, temporarily, but you have to keep on them until you replace them, with a conservative, NOT A RAT.

Branding is well understood. That's why Coke(tm) yanked New Coke so fast. It was killing their brand.

The Republican brand is now damaged by liberals.

I doesn't help you guys that folks like me are keeping it at the forefront of the voter's minds.

Your brand is worth nothing, because liberals corrupted it.

GOP stands for caving.

GOP stands for waffling.

GOP stands for the rich guy.

GOP hates women.

Those may not be true, but it's the brand you've earned.

And on the conservative, side, the GOP stands for abortion, and gun-control.

They didn't used to, but they do now.
