Britain faces the “greatest and deepest” terror threat in the country’s history, David Cameron warned as he pledged emergency measures to tackle extremists.
The UK threat level was raised to “severe” — its second highest — meaning that a terrorist attack is “highly likely” in light of the growing danger from British jihadists returning from Iraq and Syria.
The Prime Minister said that the risk posed by Isil (the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) will last for “decades” and raised the prospect of an expanding terrorist nation “on the shores of the Mediterranean”.
He disclosed that Isil had made “specific” threats against the UK and did not rule out military action to tackle the growing problem.

Good thing average citizens in the US willingly sent arms to the British citizens during WW II so they are now well armed to fend off an assault by isis. Oh. Never mind. After WW II the dumped those evil weapons in to the sea. Commoners couldn’t be trusted don’t you see. Tut, tut, cheerio.

Yep. They’re not coming here because they love Europe or America. They want to live off the system built by Christians. Most of them still turn out to be losers so then they want to kill us.

Most of the problem Muslims ARE British, that’s the problem.
Pakistani Muslims came here in the 50’s (and were fine for nearly 40 years, worked hard and didn’t cause any race or religious problems). The vulnerable youth are therefore second or mainly third gen British. That’s the worrying thing. They are British and cant simply be deported to an original country.

I think the British sent back all privately-donated firearms they could account for, in addition to telescopes and binoculars, etc.
I’ve seen Lend-Lease privately-donated rifles at US gun shows with British Home Guard brass discs nailed to the stock denoting it as a returned Lend-Lease firearm — some with Home Guard serial numbers matching the receiver serial, if it had a serial. Stamped with Royal arsenal proof marks and serial if the rifle had no serial in the first place. Doubles the price in most cases, if not more.
Biggest price tag I’ve seen was a Dallas TX police dept Thompson 1928 that had Dallas PD *and* Lend-Lease provenance on it: $50,000 in 2005 money. It was like new, unissued, in the factory wooden crate.

Most handguns on the mainland and assault rifles everywhere in UK banned. Rifles and shotguns legal. NI has laxest laws, everything legal bar AR’s, and even has a limited form of CC. CC on UK mainland only allowed due to work or personal circumstances.
