Is there a microchip implant in your future?
Fox News ^ | 8/29/2014 | Fox News

You can inject one under your skin and no one will ever notice. Using short-range radio frequency identification (RFID) signals, it can transmit your identity as you pass through a security checkpoint or walk into a football stadium. It can help you buy groceries at Wal-Mart. In a worst-case scenario – if you are kidnapped in a foreign country, for example – it could save your life.

Microchip implants like the ones pet owners use to track their dogs and cats could become commonplace in humans in the next decade. Experts are divided on whether they’re appropriate for people, but the implants could offer several advantages. For soldiers and journalists in war zones, an implant could be the difference between life and death. A tracker could also help law enforcement quickly locate a kidnapped child.

What lead you to conclude the Mark from Revelation 13 can't be removed? Clearly, taking the Mark is accompanied by an everlasting damnation addressed in the following chapter (14:9-10), but doesn't that refer to the act and not specifically the Mark itself?

The act of accepting it (the chip or tattoo) is the Mark of the Beast. Whether it is removed at some point is irrelevant. The fact that you initially accepted it and took Satan’s path and rejected the gift of everlasting life is the indelible Mark of the Beast.

It could be done at birth, with that first vaccine a baby gets, no one would know it.

When I had my dog chipped, it was just a shot, you can’t even feel the grain of rice size chip at the back of her neck. She has since chewed the tag up, chewed her collar into, chewed all rope toys in 2, and we are talking a 9 lb Morkie now full grown. She gets rawhide chews, which should be enough.

Won’t do them any good on me. I already gave my heart and life to Christ, and got a Cross Tat last year, because I feared my government and being chipped.

I’m not a “mark of the beast” type...

But even as much of a cyborg wanna-be that I am... No one will “chip” me while I’m still breathing...

Re my #39 reply to you; I should clarify that last statement: this mark of the beast is what will enable everyone who bears it to be able to buy or sell; the remnant of Israel and those who become believers during this time (believers in the coming of Messiah) will, of course, not bear the mark.

Israel will flee to the area of Petra and be there for the 3 1/2 years leading up to Christ’s return.

Jerusalem will lose 2/3 of its people, but 1/3 will be saved (see Zech. 12), but God will destroy the nations of the earth, “those who dwell on the earth” who come up against Jerusalem.

There’s no bigger idiot than a liberal. Any form of chip can be duplicated or defeated.

Why not let someone smarter then humans solve the problem?

Ever hear of fingerprints?

The consequences of receiving the Mark results in our being separated or unable to persevere in our fellowship with God.

IMHO, the mark will be used to intercept our prayers of confession and repentance to God for post salvation sin. It will be introduced as a method to control commerce such that no transactions may be conducted independent of the Mark.

It may be connected to neural research and communication technology. Once implemented, even the most advanced military will respond, “who is able to make war with him?”

It is the Beast which is given power for 42 months.

It isn’t simply an initial act of denying Christ. Every time we ever sin, we are fundamentally thinking independently of God, His Provision, and are against Christ. We still have the ability to return into fellowship by repentance,..changing our way of thinking, and confession to Him, through faith in Christ.

Instead, the mark will be an attempt to counterfeit our ties with God. This also nicely explains why it will be met with the Great Tribulation and violence.

Perhaps it is nothing more than a tattoo, used to somehow permanently interrupt our ability to have fellowship with God.

Rejecting Jesus Christ is not an unforgivable sin. Many have rejected Christ, and been granted forgiveness upon repentance. The mark is more than just a symbol of a one-time rejection of The Lord. Every time you sin, no matter how big or small, that is a rejection of Jesus Christ. And yet, you are forgiven.

Why the belated panic, it’s already happened.

It also turns everyone into anti-social zombies. Almost everyone has been taken.

It’s called a “cell phone”.

Christians better beware that accepting that will mean pledging loyalty to devil.

So, a microchip would induce you to live outside of the Ten Commandments and reject Christ as your Savior just by identifying who you are to a local scanning device? How could such a device cause you to recant your religion and accept the devil as your master?

I have no use for such a chip implant. On the other hand, such a device would not cause a radical change to my mind and soul.

Give everyone an example of how good this is. Last year, I had my thermostat put on the CPS home energy saver plan. Figured with us working out of the house, vacations, etc. we could easily manage the thermostat from our laptops. And it would save us money.

A few weeks ago it was 100 degrees out. I had the AC at 72. I came home and the thermostat was at 77. Turns out CPS, in times of high energy use can change the thermostat up to 5 degrees without notifying you.

Got my CPS bill yesterday. $473.00. Up $150 from last summer when I didn’t have the Home Energy Saver program.

Now, picture this being a chip implanted in someone. Maybe you spent too much money at Walmart. Or you filled up your gas tank one too many times this month because you took that vacation to Mt. Rushmore, which by the way, tagged you as potentially a conservative. Or, maybe you decided to add another 100 dollars to your savings account this month. Well, that is too much so we will take 28% of it from you so Achmed can have a third prayer rug. Don’t want to be a Islamophobe now do we?

That’s just what I can think of off the top of my head. I bet there are hundreds of ways the government can use this to screw the American people.

Aside from the MOTB, that much radio stuff hitting our cells has got to be bad for you.

In a worst-case scenario ... the chips can be used to simply and effectively eradicate enemies of the state by automatic activation of the machine gun built into each traffic signal that’s connected to the national control grid.

We are in the age of grace where we have the opportunity for reconciliation with God. When this age is over, people will have to choose one way or the other. Receiving the mark will be the ultimate rejection of Christ, and choosing for the other side.

Call me a tightwad but my ac is rarely below 80 no matter how hot is outside. We are used to it and before anyone says I am mean, the other half is the person that sets the thermostat. :)

I had to look up CPS energy saver. Never heard of it. I can see where it would sound enticing.

We recently had to replace our thermostat. We got a WiFi enabled model, which allows me to control it with my cell phone. No one else has control of it, at least in theory. I’m sure it will help save money, but on my terms. I adjust the temperature based on many factors. I don’t need some stranger turning up the temperature so the fresh peaches spoil before I have the chance to can them, or the bird that’s in a cage away from the vents gets too cold in the winter because the air around the cage is much cooler than the air around the thermostat. I’d be furious!

My cable company offers a security package, which includes video monitoring. You can’t get just the cameras without letting them monitor the images. Who signs up for that? I want to monitor visitors and intruders. I do not want strangers monitoring me in my own home.

Can you still opt out of the CPS program? Get a Honeywell WiFi enabled thermostat. You can control it with a smartphone app, or from a webpage.
