Democratic National Committee chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) seized on remarks by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) in an interview with Breitbart News, citing his desire to address immigration in a government spending bill to argue he's thirsting for a government shutdown.
Wasserman Schultz's remarks, made on a conference call with reporters convened with the purpose of bashing Rubio, come as White House press secretary Josh Earnest used similar rhetoric in a briefing with reporters Wednesday.
In the interview, Rubio said Congress may seek to address a unilateral amnesty by Obama in an upcoming spending bill.
There will have to be some sort of a budget vote or a Continuing Resolution vote, so I assume there will be some sort of a vote on this, Rubio said in his interview with Breitbart News when asked how the Senate GOP would fight the Presidents executive amnesty if he goes through with it. Im interested to see what kinds of ideas my colleagues have about using funding mechanisms to address this issue. Beyond that, Im not sure if the President is going to make this decision before we go back or after.

That is an odd looking “W”...
.
The ‘rats need something to rile up the base and GOTV. Everything else is backfiring. Break out that old reliable “the GOP is gonna shut down the government!”. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
So let me get this straight. We need immigration (amnesty) so COC and Koch and Adelson and such can have cheap labor. So when we have that, America will be better off and then Rove will convince those GOPe-ers to donate more to Republicans so they can still lose elections because there will be no way R’s can win due to so many new Democrat voters...permanently. Did I miss anything?
Collect underpants?
Oh...forgot...how prattle no the GOPe-ers think cheap labor will surely give? When Dems permanently run it all they will have raised minimum wage to living wage...their cheap labor will be gone.
Goodness...we do live in insane times.
Ping.
He said chairwoman. That’s going to upset a lot of “moderates”.
“,,,our immigration system is indeed completely broken. It does need serious reform. As it stands right now, we will let anyone in!
So if the border crisis has gone away, why is Obama still hyperventilating about immigration reform and threatening “administrative amnesty” for up to 5 million? The answer: Democrats need those voters now more than ever. More and more Americans realize just how badly we are being ripped off. More and more, Americans are realizing just how far Obama will go to risk terrorist attack from unidentified foreign nationals penetrating our border in order to import the Democrats’ most promising future demographic.”

Heh. Kinda eerie, huh?
Wasserman Schultz: Marco Rubio has proven with this suggestion that to use the budget to try to essentially bludgeon the President into submission over immigration policy shows he is as much as a zealot as we have known him to be since he came to the United States Senate.
Typical Democrat condescension. “We Democrats...” she implies “are above such childish zealotry”.
“I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”
—Thomas Jefferson to Thomas Cooper, November 29, 1802
The important thing of not here is the date. By 1802 the Republic had lived with our new government for a about 25 (+/-) years. There must have been doubts on Jefferson’s mind already....
So sad.
