“Do you think it’s authentic?” CNN “New Day” host Michaela Pereira asked her two guests on Wednesday, referring to the audio allegedly recorded by a man who lives in an apartment near where Brown was shot on Aug. 9.

“I have no idea,” said David Klinger, a former Los Angeles police officer who now works as a CNN contributor.

“I’ve told your producers that for all I know this is something that one of Howard Stern’s punk people have been doing. It came out, what, two weeks after the event, so I don’t have a high degree of confidence in it.”

“I look at this and I say my first inclination is someone is trying to punk CNN,” said Klinger.

“I could be wrong. Hopefully we’ll find out.”(continued)

Didn’t it used to be that the media would confirm something wasn’t a hoax BEFORE putting it on the air?

CNN

All Shooting Audio. All the time.

Trouble is - they know its false. And they don’t care. It suits their need to lie and distort. So they play it.

Again and again and again...

"... my first inclination is someone is trying to punk CNN,”

Uh, "someone" didn't "try", "someone" "did", regardless of how CNN tries to portray their disclaimers while going full bore on it.

What'd CNN do, hire Capt. Dan "Frequency" Blather & Co. as authentication experts?

Back 100+ years ago when each city had competing newspapers, they would report any thing if it could sell papers and make a buck. It was called Yellow Journalism.”.

There was a period of time after that where they developed something called Journalistic Standards where stories needed to be sourced. It didn't eliminate bias, but it at least meant they would have some confidence the story wasn't total BS.

Now, with all the competing 24 hour networks, plus all the Internet crap, they are back where they were 100+ years ago... fighting for viewers and putting anything out just to be first.
