That is authentic Bell County dialect. There are not very many people in Bell County of African descent — just 2.4%. More likely it is someone of Scots-Irish descent standing up to unjust authority just like his distant ancestors did.

Ya, it isn’t like we are talking about the profession that invented the throw down gun or the Thin Blue Line. That position is so easy to debunk that Rush looks like a fool saying it.
There is something about these talkshow hosts that they can’t or wont stand up to cops.
Rush learned nothing from a brief brush with the law over his excessive use of pain killers.

That was my question too. Not out of any instinct to stick up for cops who appear to be abusing their position, but if feels like we’re coming in in the middle of the story.
