That is unexpected; any leftist will tell you that socialism works on paper. Who would have guessed that it would fail yet again in the real world?

I don’t understand. The French have raised taxes, increased spending and put in all kinds of regulations.

How can their economy be choking?

a team that is coherent with the course that he himself has set for our country

As if France were a sailboat or cruise liner and one man could steer her towards...sunset if these socialists get their way.

The utter hubris is not shocking, but the stupidity in thinking that a single man should be running an entire nation is. When will socialism die?

The government has failed Hollande. He alone knows what is best for the people of France. It is a shame that the bureaucrats are too stupid to implement paradise

I love France and the French, outside of Paris. It’s hard to understand how these lovely people can make such a hash of everything governmental.

Socialist leader Hollande.....has the worst approval ratings of any French President on record.

Go figger.

Who'da thunk it.

Hollande has the worst approval ratings of any French President on record.

And yet, if someone remotely pro-free market got in and tried to cut spending and reduce taxes and regulation, there would be riots and they'd be booted out in a week. The French people are besotted with Welfare State Socialism just like the rest of the Western population; even moreso. They aren't angry at Hollande. They are angry that they can't get something for nothing -- have a productive economy while having the productive rich hand them a bunch of cash so they can live the good life too.

France...welcome to your dictator.

Can’t wait to watch it happen here if Republican/Conservative take the Senate and we hold the House.

Hollande’s statement sounds very 0bamaesque! “Coherent...” I’ve heard lots of liberals and even younger republican/conservatives express frustration over our “partisan” congress. Add in Reid & Pelosi constantly yelping about Boehner being uncooperative and blocking legislation, and Barry’s comment last summer about a ‘rogue congress/House...” I guarantee you we’ll see it happen here before 2016 if there is any kind of push from a Republican Congress!

Do not anticipate some sort of ‘windfall’ and change from the 2014 sweep. They’ll be lucky if they can stall them until 2016...and then they’ll be blamed AGAIN, for all the ill’s of the world because they wouldn’t be “coherent” with King Barry.

I don’t know who will ascend from the pit of socialism in 2016 to rule over us, but it won’t be pretty.

In some ways it might be a better strategy to just stay home in 2014 and let them run America into the ground. Then we come out swinging for 2016 with a GOP grand plan back to Freedom.

Politically, I believe we’ve been taken hostage and congress in open rebellion going into 2016 is not what we need.

70th anniversary of the liberation of Paris.

History may not repeat itself, but yes, apparently it does rhyme.
